Kudos' M3 Build
Hi guys, thought I'd start a build thread!
So it all started 2 years ago: Day 1 - 100% OEM Plan was to keep it looking mint and just 'drive' - no modding on the cards here! :roll eyes: Darth Vader'd I soon got bored of it looking so 'civil' and felt going all black would be better. Black on black doesn't photo very well, was much nicer in person! Eisenmann Race At this stage I needed more sound - the weakest point of the OEM E9X M3 is the exhaust noise. Way too quiet for me - I picked up an Eisenmann Race in amazing condition Piano Black trim and ZCP Knob I didn't like the Brushed Aluminium trim and it was looking very bland inside for me so to extend the gloss black theme of the car I ordered some Piano Black trim from BMW. Part numbers - 51-45-6-985-890 51-45-6-985-892 51-41-6-986-217 51-41-6-986-218 51-43-6-986-219 51-43-6-986-220 I also ordered a ZCP Gearknob and modified a standard gator Out with the old - In with the new - The throw feels much better. My gearbox has always been smooth so I can't say that it feels more slick but it definitely feels more precise. Well worth the change for anyone thinking of doing this. Evolve Primary Cat Delete Pipes With the new found V8 rumble and whale from the Eisenmann, I felt I needed more sons and more power. Evolve approached me to test their Primary Cat Delete pipes on my M, so I popped over to Luton and had them fitted. Theres are review of these I did if you do a search, but all in all they make the car run so much smoother and torquier. Was very happy and the sound was great! LCI Upgrade I loved the rear lights on the LCI M3's, and I thought long and hard about buying a newer M3 but then this one hasn't missed a beat and after hearing of friends/colleagues who were going through issues with their M's I decided to just 'facelift' the car CIC Upgrade As part of the 'facelift' the much needed saucer needed to be ditched for the CIC controller. I searched forever and a day for a manual CIC centre console to come up second hand, no luck. Got pissed off and bought one new from BMW, then got more pissed off because my satnav failed on me when I needed it most so got in contact with Ian and had the CIC system retrofitted M359 + GTS + H&R So the modding was gathering pace, picked up some M359 wheels and H&R springs off the board Ordered a GTS splitter from Teddy at SSDD too which wasn't the best replica tbh Paul came round and fitted everything Then Richmond Park happened BMW Performance Spoiler Bought from BMW, looks amazing and light as a feather Melbourne Red Side Indicator Stalks To break up all the black went for a red accent Detailed the beast Then my biggest mod - Satin Aluminium wrap I was in two minds whether to do a wrap as I'd never seen a good wrap in person, but I pulled the trigger and went for it! Luckily mine is the best wrap I've seen Very happy with how it turned out BMW Performance Splitters I ditched the replica Performance splitters I was using just to make sure I didn't destroy them and picked up a set of genuine ones BMW Edition Indicator Stalks and Edition Exhaust Wanted to carry on the gloss black/silver theme Evolve Remap - Stage 2 Got fed up looking at the EML light on my dash so went and got the stage 2 map on at Evolve (review on the board if you do a search) Akrapovič Slip-On with Carbon Fibre Tailpipes Ran the Edition exhaust for all of 3 weeks lol This was too good to refuse and still makes me feel I drive a 'proper' car Initially wanted one of these: Then ended up with something better: Carbon Leather and BMW Electronic V2 Steering Wheel All coming together now, ordered a new V2 Electric for a manual car (again no manual used ones around for sale) The carbon leather looks really subtle and ties everything together Fitted one of these too, again brand new (really worth paying the extra for new as it looks ) ....and thats where I am now I will probably update the thread with pictures for no apparent reason or update So heres a few more :mutely: |

Not much of an update, just some pics
Xmas shenanigans took their toll on the car A night shot - hides the dirt well So a quick wash and took some regulation car park photos :mutely: Thinking to get the mirrors done gloss black - not sure yet though Got something coming for the engine bay soon.. Also thinking Mode Carbon V1 splitter but not sure yet due to clearance (the OEM splitters never hit anything) This also came through (thanks Imran) eace: |

Thanks for sharing the update. IMO you should just stick with the splitters, they look great and as you mentioned they don't hit anything.
