Ahh, so they're named Endless to match the amount of stuff you have to do before they work. Makes sense.

F'that. Toss a set of PFC pads on and drive. More time driving, less time bedding in brake pads.

Werd...that's why I also dislike Pagids.

I never bedded my PF pads and never had an issue.

curious how the s65 will handle the 50wt. fwiw i ran a tbn on my evo's 30wt race oil, there's enough there to run roughly 3k miles on the street for my specific usage, which is about my change interval on that car anyway. i was a little worried as RL almost made it sound like you couldn't really keep that stuff in the car (ie opposed to amsoil zrod which has a ton of additive meant for storage/anti corrosion), but at least based on tbn there's enough there, and the evo motor really liked it.

def still interested in giving 50wt a try, but haven't had any issues with the 5w50 yet either. their 15w50 is actually thinner at operating temp than the 5w50, but its hths is higher (5.8 for 15w50 vs 5.0 for 5w50).

I've got 3 days on the current sample, about to put another 3 days on it this weekend and report back. From what I understand this stuff doesn't have any detergents on it so it should be replaced every 1000 miles / 10 hours of engine use.

I'm trying to see if it will minimize the lead wear I've been seeing. That oil report started with brand new WPC OEM bearings, as you can see I've been wearing lead since they went in.

that was my understanding, but as far as the TBN went, it looked good. as far as other detergents, i'm not sure.

Where is the lead coming from? Bearings?

Is anyone of you guys running underdrive pulleys? Im thinking about getting a Turner Pulley (just crank) but i heard some people say that its not a good idea to underdrive water pump especially if you go to track once in a while.

What do you think about leaving a race oil in while storing the car for the winter months? I know that most if not all race oils dont have any detergents so was wondering what the impact would be during storage and just change the oil before next season.

ok, whats the theory on running non-detergent oil as opposed to regular oil?

so i removed my wheels after using them for a while and the studs were covered in a white powder-y like substance. Anyone have any guesses as to what this is?

i have the same stuff on mine. apex studs. i have never had it before these, and i'm not a fan. i tried cleaning it off with neverdull, and it helped, but i'm still not sure what it is.
what brand of studs? i had turner studs before and this wasn't an issue.

someone told me it might be calcium from water, but i'm a little skeptical of that. i think it might be lubricant from manufacturing extracting its way out of the studs, but this is just a wild guess.
i'm likely going to try titanium studs next.

the studs were purchased from ecs tuning, not sure what "brand" they are. which studs are you going to try? i haven't noticed any complications due to the residue, but i want to make sure it's not a problem

malek at mrf has a titanium offering. i'm still wanting to investigate it more.

i did not have this on my turner studs. i like the dry lube studs that turner offers.

the thing that bugs me about this crap on the studs, is it makes me question the accuracy of torque values.

Looks like some corrosion of the coating. I wouldn't worry about it.

isn't that exactly what we're "worried" about? most of the cars i've owned were cars with studs, theirs never looked like this

I think the time spent at high RPM negates the underdrive (~14%?). Also, I don't think that a higher flow rate past the capability of the radiator to expel the heat is of any use.

I think the danger is when you're on some Pheonix highway in a traffic jam.
