I don't know the seller nor have I bought anything from him, but as far as I know he is as legit as the parts he sells. It looks like, from time to time, he goes out of town (or country), but has always returned and honored his word. I think you should be OK and will hear from him soon.

So you would not care if he is breaking into a BMW OEM carbon fiber factory to sell you these you are okay with it?

Not saying he is, but this is very strange to continually be obtaining large groups of carbon fiber mirror caps, I was just interested in how he does it.

Not exact sources to steal his business, but a simple "Oh I work at the BMW CF factory and they were going to trash all these because they are 99% quality not 100%." would suffice.

Additionally, this person has been banned in the past and has just opened new usernames to sell these, so there has to be a reason to be banned.

Edit - there also has to be a reason none come with the original box. Journalist inside me, sue me.

Understandable but I think you're being naive to think someone will reveal there sources whether there legitimate or not. I'm not in any way defending the op but some of you people are asking crazy ass questions being all nosey. It's a fs thread and you either buy it or move on. People do buy stuff backdoor from tier 1 oe factories in bulk.

paid him for CF mirror caps way back in July. after 2 months of giving me the runaround (claiming the caps would arrive any day but somehow never able to provide a working tracking number), he tells me the package has been returned to him and offers to redeliver or refund my money. obv i chose the latter. a week later and guess what? no refund.

p.s. i've heard from another member who was scammed by OP in the exact same way. i will let that member chime in if he wants.

I myself question what is going on with him a few posts up, but if he returned your money I do not consider that a scam. It would be though if he kept your money and ran.
