Big Brake Dilema
I see alot of people upgrading brakes for DD use. I am waiting on my new car to get here but I had an E46 Competition M3. I never had an issue with those brakes. I used to race and I don't beat on and abuse my cars but I do drive very aggressively. My question is are the stock E92 M3 brakes that bad?? $7500 is a hell of alot of money but if the stocks brakes suck, I will bite the bullet. I could care less about bling, I just want great breaking performance. Is the BBK worth it? |

The OEM brakes are more than enough. People who get BBKs are either track junkies or want the bling factor. I'm in it for both so BBKs next .

Stock brakes are perfect for street use and you can most often make them work for track use as well with limited improvements. Don't worry about them and enjoy your new ride.

StopTech's are under $5,000 new.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
