When I owned my E90 M3, all 3 neighbors went gaga when opened the rear doors or when I started the engine. One offered to let me his Bugatti Chiron hoping I would return the offer. Another came over to tell my wife that he's offering up his wife for a ride.
I was driving through a school parking lot onetime and I stopped to drop the top and 3 MILFs stopped in their tracks and clapped when I opened the rear doors. I did a quick turn at a cul de sac in my community and the kids told my kid that I scared him with the sweet sound of thunder.

my neighbors were impressed with the carbon roof. they asked if it was a convertible, and i told them no, this is a true enthusiast's car. top is stationary, and weighs 400 lbs less because of it. you can't even really tell that its 400 lbs lighter unless you accelerate, brake, or turn though.
one time, three manual drivers were all grouped up talking about enthusiast stuff. then they heard how fast i was going through the gears as i drove off. i couldn't really see them because i accelerated away so fast (DCT) but i'm pretty sure they were clapping.

Everyone in my apartment building, including the leasing agents and maintenance, only know me by my car. I bet they don't even know my name.
As far as I know, I'm the only one who spends real time washing/detailing and they regularly comment on that and how shiny the paint |

It's also a sin to be a self hating E93 owner like you.
