My friend has a new C63 sedan, and it's really fast, with a great stock exhaust.
I toyed with getting a C63s convertible, but it just didn't look all that great to me, has odd proportions. I think the coupes look better....but I wasn't enticed enough to pull the trigger. I got an F82 instead at the time. |

Beautiful car and I love how they kept the V8 engine. Not a big fan of the bright red in AMGs, but the interior quality is so much better than BMW for sure.
Spent some time in C63 non-S and some of their 43 AMG models before and most are very nice cars, but the excitement is no where near the E92 M3. They do feel more sophisticated tho. Well, to think about it, the only cars that did make me significantly more excited than the E92 M3 are probably the Gen 4 and Gen 5 Vipers...

Thanks.
Now that I’ve put about 3k miles on the car, a few observations: -Love the creature comforts like power assisted trunk closing and opening, keyless start and blue tooth phone (was missing in my last e92); auto LED high beams; heads up display. The interior is a really nice place to be in. -I prefer I-drive over the Command system in the AMG. The AMG’s system is fast with beautiful graphics but its logic in operation is strange. I miss the split screen feature in I-drive. -The car feels supreme at high speed. The faster I go, the more stable it gets. My f-type feels a bit sketchy above 90mph, where this remains planted into triple digits speed. Must be the AMG’s DNA as well as the solid built, which, bring me to the next point…. …..It feels heavy on turns unlike the way that my e92 felt light in them. Not to the point of being unenjoyable or scary, just noticeable. I have the same confident in this as I did in my e92 on the windy roads around here but I can feel the mass. -Accelerations feel relentless with torque everywhere. I’m no longer worry about being in the right gear to pass a car, or coming onto to a merge from a stop light. -The CC brakes give great feels and can stops in unbelievable distances. Made me realized how bad our e9x stock brakes were. -Styling is growing on me more and more. It looks elegantly aggressive and is a huge hit with the by standers. People keep compliment me on how good it looks (I think they meant expensive). However, the e92 was/is the better design and looking car in my eyes and heart. -It makes great daily driver allowing me to blend into traffic when needed yet can step out and have fun when I’m on a two-lane road. -Driving in Comfort mode with a conscientious right foot yields 20-23mpg in normal driving. Go into Sport+ or Race modes to play with the gas peddle for crackles and pops in the exhaust and it can drop to 14mpg quickly. -The transmission will hold gear, every gear, until redline in Race mode when it’s in auto. This reminds me most of the e92 engine characteristics when revving to 8k rpm. If one likes to draw attention with loud exhaust sounds driving through a parking lot, this is the best and easiest way to do so. -I think it’s comical that I often get wheel spins going in reverse backing down my driveway. The coupe looks so much better than the sedan. The m6-like rear is fantastic, and the fenders look great
Really cool car and for daily use I'm sure it's close to perfect. Congrats and hope it continues to grow on you |

Beautiful Car! Love the c63 with biturbo V8!
I'm keeping my Harrop supercharged e92 M3 with low km and bought a GLC63s AMG Coupe. This is my new daily drive . It has the the e63 drive train and transmission and c63 motor. The all wheel drive system makes it slightly quicker than a C63 despite it being heavier! 0-60 in less than 3.7 secs!! and I'm amazed how well it handles corners!!

I honestly feel like AMG is the new M these days, the way they integrate F1 technology into their cars... I was very surprised when I recently drove an Mercedes AMG E43; the car handled really well for its size and weight, and it's not even a full blown AMG.

Congrats! I'm a big fan of the new C63 and the interior is a VERY nice place to be. Feels so premium. Any plans to mod it?

That interior sold me as soon as i saw it. I just added a set of air filters and an ASR exhaust module (it makes the exhaust a bit louder by keeping all valves open all the times) but nothing else. At some point perhaps taking it to an MB dealership and get a Renntech tune.

I saw a black one downtown at an intersection. When it pulled away, the sound it made....I was like, "Daaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...."
I'm really happy for you, OP. The color is spectacular! Enjoy the new ride! |

I pulled up next to one of these on the highway the other day and slowed to 5 under the speed limit, putting my window down to request an audio sample.
The other driver obliged, and it was completely insane. There was a massive “BWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!“ that sounded as if God was inflicting some kind of plague upon the entire highway. So, my dream family hauler is now the E63S wagon. |
