U-la-la...that's a steal!
Funny background though, a pilot watch on an european architecture plan, note the meter's You could have also layed it on a playboy magazine and the offers would slam through your roof . Aerospace is a great watch |

Ha, this would be my third so that's too many. this is like a combo of two of my watches, but too close to both to justify buying it. As I mentioned, very cool watch though and I dig the face color.

I would stay away, seller is a scammer.
Sent him funds, brand new paypal account, and gives generic responses that "you need to refund your payment", etc... I would advise against anyone buying from this seller. |

that sucks. I assume you paid the 3% tax? if so, is PayPal getting your money back?

Any forum moderators in here? Please feel free to jump in as I will gladly explain what it going on. This "seller" was very polite prior to sending the payment. Once the payment was sent, I get a long message saying the funds are held for 21 days (due to the seller having a brand new paypal account, hmmm...), so I need to contact paypal since that does not work for the person who he is sourcing from to wait that long. Wait? What? Oh yes, this seller does not actually have the item he is selling. And after payment is sent to his brand new paypal account, he then tells me someone else has the item he claims to be selling. Which he tells me would be shipping right away, now the saga of the whole story is coming apart. It just take a large payment in order to expose that part apparently. But hey, to my knowledge, Craigslist is still free to scam on right? Please, anyone who thinks they are going to get an item from this seller. Do not send the money!!! The story will change after the fact and you will find his phone number given is a generic number with an answering machine that says nothing. And that you will find the paypal account is recently opened and flagged with paypal already. Moderators? Any chance at some security so other members do not get caught out $1000+ like myself? I only say all of this so others don't lose out. |

Hey, I have sent his money to him since.
I wonder when I said the item does not belong to me. Again, I am not one to obtain money dishonestly from any one. I would have to close this sale because no one would be interested in the watch any more. thanks to you. |

Found this post on watchuseek with the same exact picture:

Situation is this. Refund has been received, mainly because the payment sent was opened as a dispute and either way it was coming back to me in one form or another.
Simply put for those whom are considering buying... PayPal gladly opened a dispute and escalated the next day after I explained to them what was going on. And we all know, they usually require a wait period before they will even open a dispute, more or less escalate the situation right to their claims review process. The seller gave me several responses about why I had not received a refund prior to posting this. And when this was posted, there were several messages sent about how a sale could have been made and that if a refund was sent, this post was to be removed because it was ruining the chances of selling this watch. Hmmm, slow refund process with a changing story. This post is made because I am getting no where, and after 10+ years of buying/selling through paypal the OP is exhibiting all of the characteristics of a scam. In my opinion, the OP should not be trying to bargain with me over the terms of a refund because it is inconveniencing to him/her. Especially after the fact the seller gives all of assertion in the world that the item being bought is all set to go, only to find after payment is sent that OP does not actually own the item being sold (if it even exists). I am just glad for the fact that paypal was used and payment was sent for goods/services so there was recourse available to me. Guys, save yourself the headache. Just don't buy anything thinking it will be showing up at your doorstep from the OP. |
