Any M3 Owner-Hockey Players?
I am looking to get a "lightly" used 2008-2009 M3 but I was wondering what storage space was like?
I play Ice Hockey so I have a big equipment bag and hockey sticks that need to go in the car. Will they fit the trunk? the back seat? So I want to to know if anyone on this forum plays Ice Hockey & how do you manage with your equipment & sticks in your M3 Couple/Sedan

I play occasional rec hockey with friends and I have no issues fitting a medium sized bag into my vehicle and a few sticks. I do fold down at least one side of the rear seats though and just push my bag a little through. When you check out M3s, just bring your bag if it's a major concern and do a test fit. I know a lot of people that do test fits with car seats but as a Canadian, test fitting hockey bags wouldn't seem abnormal to me. haha

I live in South Florida so when I mention hockey people look at me as if I have 4 heads..
Here the word Football comes out of everyone's mouths 24-7 and I dont understand why, considering the Dolphins have sucked since 1974. I work for the Florida Panthers and when I tell people that I know they are secretly thinking "why didnt he try getting a job with the Dolphins or the Heat"

Cool, I love to hear about fellow hockey fans in 'non traditional' cities I went to a Panthers game in Florida to watch the Leafs play and we met some really cool fans there.

I had no problems fitting a full bag in my 335 coupe w/o having to put a back seat down. I just put the sticks in the passenger seat. I believe the M3 trunk is about the same size... will find out for sure when the Fall season starts!

I currently put my stick between the passanger seat and the right door but the rear cabin has scratch marks from the butt end & hockey tape. How did you set up the sticks in M3?

Being from the south, I play roller hockey, but same principle. Fold down the right rear seat to fit the sticks and the bag/gear goes in the trunk.

No, only pocket pool here, and the equipment fits fine!

My former BMW mechanic plays all the time. PM me, and I can get you his info. I don't play, but the trunk in the E90 is cavernous compared with my old E36. I plan to carry a couple of bicycles with the seats folded down.

I just throw my bag in the trunk and carefully put my sticks in the back seat.
I play goalie and forward so I have to bring 2 sets of equipment sometimes. So I put the forward stuff in the back seat. I've never had a problem fitting that stuff into my 08 sedan. Over here in Korea, I just fit 4 people, sticks, and 5 hockey bags into a 94 Kia Sephia.

I have an E90 M3 and I can get 2 medium size bags in the trunk, and then put sticks in the back seat...dont even have to fold down the seats even when I go with my Brother.

The Mule rules! But at any rate, my equipment fit in just fine in my E90 M3. I just fold both back seats down, put my sticks in a stick bag, and slide both the stick back and gear back straight into the trunk. Nothing in the car gets touched other than the carpet in the trunk and seat-back.

I put the back rear seat down and make her put her sticks in bag so they don't scratch the seat in front. Those sticks are probably the worst part of it, we usually put the bag under the stick and let it balance there. Yeah, the new car smell was long gone once hockey season started. Girls smell as bad boys!!!

no no hockey here, soccer is the main sport, although I shoot IPSC and USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) and race enduro, the worst part is the national soccer team sucks big time, I've seen a live hockey match in St. Louis, Baseball and Basketball, all of them in the U.S, also saw one of the last F1 races held in the Sates, just hoping that the Mexican grand prix will be part in the next seasons, if not the closest is Interlagos, but I loved the hockey game, really intense and a real man sport, just have to settle for NHL on Xbox 360
