BMW doesn't specify it but clutch is covered one-time during the Extended Maintenance Plan.

I am interested in a great price!
$3,295 is the regular price.

Even rotors are an easy DIY, but they should last at least 50K miles of regular driving (not track time at all), right? And pads at least close to that, I'd assume. We'll see. Again, with DIY and relatively affordable prices with Tischer, I'm not worried. In fact, I'm paying for my own maintenance since now . Prefer that than dealing with only local dealer. Take care.
Actually, I overheard a discussion about this when I brought my M3 in for the 1,200 mile service. If I overheard correctly the manual clutch is not covered due to the fact that it is theoretically possible that you might abuse it. The DCT clutch is covered because the M3 shifts for you and thus is incapable of abusing the clutch.

Then again, I think that the guy that was explaining the plan is the same one pulling serial prank calls on my cell today about a "burrito unicorn".

I guess that "special" price is the one offered to the "special" people who ride the "special short bus"?

Why does a dealer risk ruining their reputation to make a customer feel that they are getting a deal? Just come clean-tell them, "We sell at MSRP. Take it or leave it."

Clutch is covered provided it needs replacement due to normal wear and year and not abuse. DanielDutton@pacificbmw.com can offer a nice price compared to the "Special" Price ($3295.00).

Using launch control is not abuse? You should have said 'abusing the clutch on a manual transmission vehicle is easier' .

Yes, clutch is covered if you make nice with your service advisors. That's why mine gets a bottle of good wine every Christmas! Haven't needed to call in that favor yet, though!

Also, if you're interested in Extended Maintenance or Extended Warranty, check with GOLFFRR. He will do his best to try to get you the best price possible. Very, very stand up guy.

Spoke with Daniel Dutton at Pacific BMW and he gave me an offer I couldn't refuse on the Extended Maintenance 6yr./ 100K. You can reach him at DanielDutton@PacificBMW.com.

I inquired to my dealer -out of curiosity- about the extended maintenance plan and warranty (which are two separate things, let it be known!)

Also, apparently the price increases the closer you get to expiration of the original service/warranty plan...

I'm personally not worried about maintenance since I can do everything myself but wouldn't mind having an extra 2 years and 50k miles warranty for peace of mind. Who do I ask? My dealer wanted like $3k which I think is a bit excessive.

I put just under 10k a year on, so not sure it would be worth it for me. Maybe get a set of brakes out of it. Please PM me your price, though.
