I recently had someone splash soda on the passenger side of my car. It's my DD Mazda CX-5, I park by myself and never take up 2 spots or any other douche move.

Well, after 3 days in the hot summer, the acid went straight past the clear coat. Pretty much half my rear passenger door.

Moral of the story: check your entire car once a day

That’s a bad bitch as my wife would do the same lol.

I do the walk around of my 335 before I drive it once/twice a week. As for my DD 320, daily. As a car enthusiast I just need to know, ya know?

Nope. No need when it sits in the garage. I only inspect after a long drive or after parking in a parking lot.

Every time I wash my car I do, or when I leave a parking lot and someone parked real close.

I try to park as far away as I can from everyone where the lot is empty, but there's always some clown who will decide to park next to you when there's about 300 spots open nearby.

Only if I park in a crowded parking lot. Other than that I inherently give it a close inspection while washing.

How would you sleep not confident she's safe and comfortable there? The wife is naturally jealous. I can't find a link to the quote but I believe Jeremy Clarkson said something like "If you don't turn around to look at the car when walking away from it you chose a wrong one.".

Every time I get into it after being in a parking lot. Also check out cars on both sides.

Yup, I like to check on our family fleet most nights. Make sure they are locked up, nothing visible inside them, no new dents or scratches. I may talk to them if I am feeling chatty.

Glad to know I’m not alone! Usually do a cursory inspection every couple of days myself.

I have been dong visual inspection every time I see my car. Looking for new chips or scratches. And of course under the bonnet. So far so good. The minor scratch or tiny chip im not too concerned about until I come to sell it
