CCC failure?

So my car was off for about a month, when I turned it on the CCC/nav screen shows the BMW logo loading screen then fails to boot up and goes to black screen. I asked a couple shops they all said it is probably done and I would need to replace the full thing.

If anyone else has experienced this and fixed it or knows what failed let me know.

Also if I do need to replace the whole thing I would rather get the entire CIC unit and everything needed for that instead of the CCC again... I have a 6spd if that matters anyway let me know where I could find one for sale preferably local to SOCAL.

BPM is in your area and can help with CIC retrofits. Its not cheap however.

Have you tried to disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for an hour, then plug it all back in and see what happens? Sometimes that resets the problem.

Yes, it might not work. But pulling at straws to try and help. At least its free to try.

Had the exact thing happen to mine when it was 5 years old. a year out of warranty. The nav box is gone. I like modding the car so I went with the upgrade to the CIC. I used mike benvo.

OP - your CCC is repairable. Mine had the bmw splash screen constant boot loop. Had this issue last winter so I sent mine to logic seven and turn around time was pretty quick. Price was pretty fair at less than $400 and they also updated the firmware as well. Came back to me fresh as new. http://www.bmwlogicseven.com/?page_id=4123

It just wasn’t worth the cic upgrade to me considering I don’t spend a lot of time in my car and it can get pretty pricey on the upgrade.

That happened to me, I pulled the negative terminal off the battery, waited a minute, then reconnected. It fixed it.

That caused me to do some research and I made this note to myself for future reference: "The red screen problem is the CABLE between the CIC and CID."

I have my old ccc unit sitting in my loft. Perfect working order. I could sell it to you for cheap. I'm in Sherman oaks. DM me

CCC failure

Hi, my first time posting although I've followed and gotten some good advise throughout the years. This post is for jeremyuhh, I realize the posts are 5 months old but I don't know how to direct message someone. Just taking a chance here. I am told my CCC module is most likely done for and BMW quoted $2800.00 to fix it. I am wondering if jeremyuhh still has the unit he offered to M3Dimi. I'm in southern California as well and would buy it if it is still available. If not I'll search for someone other than the dealership to repair for me. Needless to say $2800.00 is more than I'm willing to spend. Thanks!

Not CCC, but my X5M experienced an issue where it shuts off for about 30s after booting at random moments.

I upgraded the car's i-level and complete CIC software and it fixed it.

Maybe the same can work for you, but you need to find someone/vendor maybe even dealer who can do this. I did it myself because I have BMW Icom NEXT A + B
