E90 M3 LCI ABG/MRS Coding for Restoring OE Front Seats
Hi all,
A friend of mine had BMW Performance seats properly installed and now he has swapped them with original seats but without coding done. He had warning about airbag system on the CIC and the fault codes; 93C1 MRS: Comm fualt, seat-occupancy detector, PAX 93AE MRS: Active head restraint (AHR), left 93AF MRS: Active head restraint, right I coded the following in the ABG module; SBE1_1_CD - Seat Occupancy Detection (SBE1) 1 to aktiv (The car is ECE so setting OC3_1 to aktiv did not help.) AKS_LINKS_1_CD - Active Head Restraint Left to aktiv AKS_RECHTS_1_CD - Active Head Restraint Right to aktiv Cleared the fault memories and it's all done. His car is E90 M3 LCI produced in Oct. 2008, Japanese market. I am curious about the active head restraint option because they don't look like it. Please kindly let me know how your AKS is set up I have E90 M3 pre-LCI rolled out in Mar. 2008, Japanese market and the AKS options are set to nicht_aktiv. And I referred to this post: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332854

I also include ISTA test plans for the above fault codes; indeed recommended to check coding options in ABG module (text in red boxes.)
