tried towing it to the track this weekend. the uhaul trailer does NOT like the lip. i had to put the car that far forward just to get the ratchets to clear.
i think i'm going to reserve towing for going somewhere REAL far (like mid ohio for me), or for a multi day. otherwise, the extra two hours of faffing around with getting the trailer, then returning it just isn't worth it. i live in the city so I don't have a place to keep my own trailer, am lucky enough to have room for all the cars as it is.

Looks like the OEM m3 floor mats are back in stock, picked up an extra set. They were NLA when I checked a few years ago!

How funny! Everyone knows a fresh oem mat shaves half a second off the quarter mile. I picked this set up on Amazon for $90. It is actually the e46 m3 cabrio mat but the e90 fit is perfect for the driver (which is what I “needed” and adequate for the passenger. The rears don’t work at all in the sedan but I will use them in my 996.

Was all excited to get parts until I saw how FCP packed them...
Sorted the mess and then went for a rip to calm my mind

Renowned YouTuber, fellow jazz and chillhop audiophile, and BMW enthusiast, Chromatic Garage made a very special video for Project Luna.
The video is a cinematic masterpiece...simple as that. The unique camera angles, melodic smooth jazz, and detailing masterclass, symbiotically made a true Steven Speilberg-esque short film. It was a dream come true to have Chromatic Garage clean and capture my car. Please enjoy, drop a like, comment, and make sure to subscribe to his channel:

Implemented an inline fuel filter for the M3.
Actually, it's a two-stage system, a 40-micron filter first, then a 10-micron paper filter at the end. Shooted everything I could in a film, I'm uploading right now. |

This is surprising from FCP, wonder if it was the shipping carrier or them, I've never had an issue. Either way, hopefully they're not going down the path of ECS!

Many thanks for the DIY sharing! Just installed a new set of Bosch FIs as a PM to mitigate fuel related failures...so perfect timing for me! Considering the NRW Designs fuel filter kit...anyone have actual experience, impressions?

Uncharacteristic from personal experience w/FCPEuro. Over many years with dozens of deliveries, never seen that outcome. Presuppose cause(s) - - either a FNG packed the order or in transit carrier damage ...in any case, nuthin' wrong with doin' a good rip

What did you use to polish them? Since I went catless X pipe I've noticed a lot more buildup obviously

Haven't seen nobody complaining about their product yet, although relatively new on the market. I didn't feel like using it, though, because of the lack of monitoring the pressure myself. I know ECU will still do, since the original sensor is relocated to after their filter, but still I'd need to see with my eyes. Can't play odds with a lean mixture risk. After doing all this, I think I can add that NRW solution seems to offer enough flow, because their filter has got almost twice the lenght (75mm) of the filter I'm using (43mm, which is enough too). My doubt for now is, how long will it take until it starts to drop the pressure excessively? If in my case I face that the pressure drop occurs soon, like 1,000 miles or so, I'll say that NRW solution may happen about 2,000 miles and users would do well aiming to replace the filter before that. If my filter lasts long, then I'll deduct NRW will be very safe. |

What do you think is a good mileage to replace FI as preventative maintenance? MY10 at 29k miles currently. Do they degrade over time too or it's mostly buildup over x amount of miles? I'm doing spark plugs soon and this crossed my mind
