Dtc70 and if you can deal with the rarest of squeals, you'll never have to swap them back and forth.
Zeckhausen, buybrakes, bestbrakes. All good. |

With StopTechs, a pad change takes 5 min per wheel. Why not just get a proper street and a proper track pad.

I run dtc60 without much issues as my track pads. My wheels are always off during a tech inspection and post inspection anyways so I swap street pads

Stoptech R34 is VERY popular here. R33 is also good with a little less bite.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Stoptech Sr33 front, Sr32 rear if you're on street tires. Slicks and you can go to something more aggressive like the Sr34.
Raybestos ST43 and 45 is epic too. I actually have some from my old ST60 kit and they have only two events on them. DM me if you're interested and I'll ship them out to you.

What tire(s) are you running? Stickier rubber works the brakes harder.

I swap pads back and forth. I run Stoptech Street up front on my ST-60 and then switch to Cobalt XR2's for track use and swap back at the end of the weekend. I have stock rear brakes so I just keep the XR3 rear Cobalts on the car all the time.
Hawk has a decent lineup of double duty street/track pads I have heard about but have not tried.

If you don't mind some low-speed squealing and dusting, the Hawk DTC-60 would be fine on all four corners. Once you move up to something like a Hoosier then the 70 might be necessary up front.
I still think swapping to street pads is the best choice, depending on how much driving you do on public roads versus the track. I don't know what kind of pace you have on track, but a Ferodo DS2500 hybrid pad might do the job.

Basically: if you're giving more point by's than receiving, the ds2500 will be fine. It won't fall off or disintegrate. However If you are the guy who is usually waiting for point by in your run group, you'll want something that lasts longer, otherwise you'll just be replacing the 2500's more often.

CarboTech and Cobalt Friction seem like the same company. I have CarboTech pads for my ST60 and like them. |

Second this. When the Boss 302 first came out in 2012, he worked with me to come up with a compound that worked well for track days. Think we tried 3 and settled on the second one. Great to work with, quality product.

To be fair, I haven't used the latest Cobalt (or any other company's) pad compounds so they may be great. I didn't like the Cobalts I tried years ago, but YBMV.

I have been using Carbotech for the same trophy setup. Very much rotor friendly with plenty of stopping power. Currently run PFC when tracking my e46, but e90 likes the Carbotech best.
