Now here's the M/Sport comparison shots, are these more to your liking.
Why not take the LCI? That's a 328:

Best regards,
south
Well if you want to pick blue as a colour to show a car off in then what about this.

Come on South, you have to admit that this is a sexier look machine.

Footie, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, in that you just couldn't find a picture of a blue avant.

But so far, all of your picture postings in this thread have been clearly biased.

Set 1: photoshop vs non-photoshop. (possibly top range vs. base model as well)
Set 1/2: Are older models of the 3 series, which should be matched to the B7 S4.
Set 3: You aren't even showing an Avant anymore. Might as well just post a comparative picture of an M3 since the price of the new S4 can get up that high. Fully loaded can reach $63k.

As for which looks better, the new S4 is great looking. But to argue or try to convince people that it looks better is a bit pushy. Telling people 'what they should think looks better' is a loosing battle.

I admit that both look great. Though, I have to say that Audi has sexier cars than the S4, e.g. S5 convertible or even the RS6 look better to me.

I'm very biased when the argument is between the S4 and the 335i, I will openly admit that in my opinion the S4 is the far better car, not only in looking, I actually dislike the saloon, preferring the Avant but like you said I couldn't find an Avant in blue that wasn't an Audi official picture so chose the saloon, but in ability and performance the S4 is superior.

Though I'm not totally pro-audi, after all I chose the Jaguar XF over the S4 but that decision was financial with the XF Portfolio being stock with no extras need and thus no additional loses incurred from extras compared to the S4 which would have needed £9.5K of extras to meet my requirement and would loses at least two-thirds of that on resale, the other reason was I wanted something more relaxing to drive yet still corner surprisingly well which the Jag does.

The S4 is more like the M3, in that it pushes you on to drive harder. Frankly I have been there and did that with the M3 and decided to have a change, but if you are after such an experience and can't afford an M3 (remember there is other members here that don't live in the States where the Audi is a bit too dear compared to the 335i) then the S4 is the next best port of call.

Now the RS6 is one car that really does turn me on, especially in blue.

But seriously south, a convertible S5 is something you prefer to the coupe.

Man either you are getting old or you're a hairdresser.

Obviously, I prefer the E92 to the A5 Coupe. But I can't stand the E93, so I would choose the A5 convertible instead.

Without money taken into consideration, I'd be in one of these though:

Well I couldn't agree more, the E93 isn't BMW's finest hour or decision to chose a heavy tin-top on top of one of it's finest handling cars, especially the M3. I also didn't think any of these folding tin-tops look that great with the possible exception being the new Z4 which actually looks pleasantly pleasing.

OK, send me your phone number in a PM and I'll arrange for a cut and blow dry.

Joking over, the R8 convertible does look exceptional for one of these types of cars, but I would still pick the coupe over it every time. In my opinion unless the car was designed from the off to be an open top then I say leave the hell alone.

I think the LCI is more of a looker than the B* A4, even prefer the 335i LCI to the S4 in looks. Not sure how the S4 drives, but Igather it loses some of the go-kart feel that the bimmer has

I wish we had more choices for wagons here in the US. Instead we're stuck with SUV/crossovers whatever the hell they call them.

I'd consider a S4 Avant as a third car any day. Comfortable utility for a daily driver.

But a big issue I have with Audi is the leather they use for their seats (even their so-called prestige/premium stuff.) It's weird and greasy feeling. Unfortunately it's highly treated and painted and doesn't breathe well at all. I have far superior leather on my other cars; the Audi leather is stiff, greasy, and unnatural looking. It looks like fake leatherette or something.
The problem with Audi's leather is that it wears terribly. It looks great from the start, and if you're into that greasy smooth feeling then it feels great too. It just looks like saggy shit after a short period of time.

BMW's leather doesn't look smooth and feels rough in comparison, but it doesn't resemble a street hooker's vageen once the miles start accumulating.

Let me say again...

The basic leather on Audi's is generally crap, however if you upgrade the leather its as nice (or nicer, imo) as anything you can get from bmw. I have multiple Audi's in my family some with upgraded leather, some without.... its a night and day difference.
No shit. I said it looks and feels nicer. I also said it wears prematurely.
