Is it a great idea to get the Heated Seats option with cloth/leather seats? I'm in Chicago and it gets cold here. Thanx in advance.

Definitely; they're not as bad as all leather, but you'll like the warm butt.

Post 163 and Post 175 - why do some have cloth on the entire center section and some have leather on the top of the center? So weird... I also ordered Speed Cloth in mine and the entire centers are cloth. Curious...

Earlier models had more leather. Late models are all cloth in the center.

I'm in love with my Speed Cloth. It has such a great feel. I prefer it over my E46 M3's Imola Red interior.

Dude, what do you know, you've never even had your car past 4500rpm.

Youre loguic about speed cloth being only available in the M3 makes no sense because Fox Red, Bamboo Beige, and Silver leather are also onyl available on the M3.

The speed cloth looks much better on the newer M3's where it covers the entire center section. While speed cloth is nice I just hate how cheap the door panels look. With the door panels in leather like someone posted above it really looks much better. I like cloth on some cars and had it on my GTI because of the plaid pattern. If I had an M3 I like the FR extended leather so much that I would opt for it. I would take speed cloth over Bamboo beige, Silver or Black leather though and would be sure to swap door cards for leather.

I think he meant its only available on the M3 and not common. As an FYI, cloth interiors for both the E30 M3, E36 M3 and E46 M3 are sought after now. However, I would guess more people purchased E9X M3s with cloth than any previous generation.

I once had a stripper on my cloth-ed seats, stains didn't come out. It was surprisingly easier to clean leather.

I'm glad I chose speed cloth. It looks and feels much better to me. The only issue I have with it is the door panel cloth has a cheap look to it but otherwise I think it's much better than leather. I'm getting custom stitching on mine.

Check the Enthusiast Group. They always have a couple stripper E46 M3s

Chemical Bros interior cleaner. I have yet to find something it can't clean.

I love my speed cloth but it seems to be very good at picking up random animal hair off my clothes...
