The Chinese virus 🦠 and social distancing rules prevented us from even attempting to compare. We are also running different x-pipe/exhaust setup, Im stock/MPE.

That said having listened to SYT's and Obsessed Gsrage's videos, I can assure you that both are plenty loud. I can vouch for Evolve...totally stealth if you modulate the throttle. At WOT and 5k+ RPMs, it's easily 3/4 times louder than stock and completely drowns out the MPE.

If you haven't gotten one yet, buy either with confidence.

When the damned Wuhan bug subsides, we'll record back to back videos and post.

noun: racism

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

It's really odd to be an immigrant in this country and watch people who know as much about being an immigrant in the US as I know about being a turtle get hot and bothered about alleged 'race' implications.

People who have not been indoctrinated with political correctness do things like call things that come from a certain country by that country's name.

I am from Spain and when everyone calls the 1916-1920 flu the 'Spanish flu', I don't even blink. It is not a racist term in the least.

A racist expression would be to say Spaniards are dirty lazy people, for example.

Spanish flu. Spanish chorizo. Spanish ham. Spanish rice. Spanish olive oil. This denotes where it comes from.

Ugh, it isn't cool to talk politics here, but I just have to speak up as both Bemo and are immigrants. So, nothing to do with politics.

Well said, SYT_Shadow, you totally get it.

On another note and when the Chinese virus is gone, we'll do a proper comparison of the plenums. I have a GoPro and hopefully we can manage to record half-decent clips that capture the auditory differences, if any, between the 2 air boxes.

Folks - get either one. You have no idea what you're missing!!!

Let me help you out here.

If you reread the definition you posted, you will see how easily your friend's comment fits.

The term 'Chinese virus' is racially charged and instigates xenophobia. A simple google search will inform you on the implications of this kind of speech.

The problem with racially charged rhetoric is it suites cowardice. It can be said and defended in nuance, then turned back on the victim.

Your example of the Spanish flu has some problems. Most importantly, that strain of flu is not circulating so there's no stigmatization of Spanish people with regards to illness.

And yes, while informing on country of origin - don't you think these kinds of labels have been used before in racist/xenophobic rhetoric? On one hand you can label something in a harmless way, and with the other hand cause harm.

What your friend said (continues to say) is a term that hurts people. There's evidence for it. Whether he wants to see that or not is his own problem.

If you want to split hairs to defend your friend's poor communication that's your prerogative.

I changed out my trunk popper switch as the label on the old one had gotten worn and smudged looking and it was bothering my OCD, LOL.

Thought it would take 10-15 minutes but it literally took about 45 seconds. Was actually kinda bummed it didn't take longer because I already changed over for summer wheels a couple of weeks ago and remounted my CF rear diffuser, and with no other maintenance or work due on the car, I was hoping for a little project. Oh well.

I see you're in California, so coming all the way up here might a bit of a drive. But hey, you're always welcome to. The sea-to-sky is definitely a beautiful road, especially now with very little to no traffic most of the time. The stretch of the road after Whistler/Pemberton is even better! We're just waiting for them to sweep all the winter gravel off the road before we go past Whistler.

Still the best time to go is early morning or late evening. This weekend we went up at 7am and it like we had the whole highway to ourselves. Coming back around 10:30am we started to see some traffic going up. Mostly groups in sport bikes or other car groups. Saw a group of exotics heading up on our way back, so that was a cool sight.

The cops are pretty nice about it so, it seems. This past weekend there were a couple of radar traps but it doesn't look like they're pulling people over unless they are excessively speeding. We drove past a radar trap doing about 15km/hr over the limit and they didn't even make eye contact.

I went to UBC for undergrad and lived in Vancouver from 2005-10. I go back every couple of years, but rarely drive and haven't been to Whistler since I think 2012 when I took those pictures with my previous E46. I miss it up there! Never made it out to Pemberton. I could spend a lifetime exploring Beautiful British Columbia in an M3.

Finally got some good weather in Boston and was able to clean it the way she deserves.

BS.....The origin is confirmed from China. The Chinese government withheld and censored information of the virus for months. Deleleting outgoing social media messages from China to the infomation of the virus......even as to jailing and treating the doctors and whistle blowers.
CHINA is in the forefront of this virus.

How many has died around the world due to the Chinese government. They should pay restitution.

the descriptive word "China or Chinese" is not a dirty word.

Cleaned up the interior and the trunk.
Browsed the net and discovered my next project in this $130 backup camera thread https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1005301
Ordered the parts on Ebay and now the wait begins for the slow boat from China.

You can't say boat from China. We know that's where the boat is coming from, but it's not a Chinese boat.

Agreed. That is inciting xenophobia against people who most likely have nothing to do with that boat. You may not believe it, but simply searching on Google you will find plenty of comments and articles from people who agree that its hurtful, helpfully moved to the top by Google's anti-racist algorithms. Any articles attempting to calmly and logically explain otherwise will be moved far from the top, or even moved out of the search, helpfully.
