If u guys decide to have another video comparison in October-November on the same weekend as the potential groupbuy for the Powerchip reflash then I'd be willing to come down to H-town & kill 2 birds w/one stone.

I thought those bicycle cops were going to make us leave. Good thing they didn't stick around to see us zooming by around 60 mph.
Let's get some ideas going for possible video shoot locations. It has to be somewhere with a smooth road and no pedestrians, traffic, and of course, no bicycle cops. Any suggestions? The area we shot the first time was okay...but I'd rather go to an even more secluded area. Anybody know of any new streets with current construction going on? Also, I need some ideas with cool backgrounds for the photoshoot. Every place I think that is cool, I get kicked out because security guards come out and say that the building is not to be photographed. I've seen some guys from Houston Imports.com take pictures by the Bayou near UH downtown in an area that has a lot of nice green grass, yet you can still many downtown buildings. Where exactly is that at? Another option is at Rice stadium. The parking lot is open and there is usually nobody there. A better place would be Reliant stadium, but I'm not sure if we can just drive into the parking lot. |

What part of Allen Parkway?
Perhaps Memorial Park will be good for the photo shoot location, but it definetly is not a good place for the video shoot (too many people). |

New Houston owner here, let me know when you guys are having another meet. I would love to hear the exhausts comparison.
Oh.. just a suggestion... There is a new town and country construction (by Memorial and Belt8) by my house. It's a nice location to do photo shot and RA Sushi just open at the location. |

MGZT: You can be in the video and provide the stock exhaust portion, if JC919 is no longer stock. If JC919 is still stock, then you can show up anyway just to listen to everything and be in the photoshoot. We are still trying to plan for Sept 19 at 3:00 pm.
BTW, Ra Sushi is NOT good sushi. If you want good sushi, then go to Sage 400, Azuma, Oishii, or Uptown Sushi. |

I'm pretty certain that my exhaust will still be stock by then. I've got a lot going on this month and even if I get the system purchased and delivered I doubt I'll have time to get it installed. Especially if I go with the Akra system, which due to cost I've been moving away from. However, it sounds SOOOOO good out at the track. MGZT, Congrats on the new ride and feel free to post pics. I hope to meet you along with the rest of the Houston M3 owners on the forum.

JC919: Man, so your the one who eats that Hot Rock Beef at Azuma. I hate it when people near me order that. It creates so much smoke and stinks up the place and my clothing...no thanks!

^Yep, its awesome and I guess I'm a d!ck for ordering it. The sauces that go with it are great!! In fact, I talked to the manager and found where to get my own hot rock. I bought a few b/c you have to heat those things forever and they don't stay hot for long.

Everybody who is interested in the video shoot, photo shoot, and/or both, I want to create a contact list in Excel format of everybody. Please PM me the following information:
First and Last Name Telephone Number E-mail address (so I can send everybody the Excel file when it's complete, including my information) Year of M3 Manual or DCT E90, E92, or E93 List of only your exhaust modifications This will help me in adding text to the video. Thanks. |

Hi Frank,
I recently signed up for Powerchip's group buy tune in Houston. I don't mean to mess up your date for the collaboration, but would it be better for many of the guys (including myself) to make it while in Houston for the Powerchip tune? I spoke with Mike Benvo @ Powerchip, and he said that if the group buy works, the tune in Houston should be held in about 3-4 weeks from today. At the end, please keep your originally planned date if most guys are already ok with it. Thanks Frank! |

I'm not sure if coinciding the tuning and the exhaust collaboration shoot will work because it will be an all-day event to get all the cars tuned, especially if there are many who want the dyno tune. So there wouldn't be any time to get all the cars tuned and do the shoot, unless people are willing to do the tune on a Saturday and do the shoot on a Sunday?

But the problem is that we don't know the exact date of Powerchip's tuning day for us......So therefore I think it would be a smarter decision to probably continue with the date you were aiming for.......Unless our other members would prefer a change. |

We'll it's pretty easy for us, Nawaaz, everybody else interested, all live in Houston. I think you're the only out-of-towner, but if you can spend the night, then that will give us the option of doing the shoots on Sept 20.
So my joke of all of us getting Powerchipped and then do the collaboration may be a reality ha! |
