JC919 - OEM
Tlud - Dinan
Niels E46 M3 - Eisenmann Sport
frankzlin79 - AA Siganture
Ajax-Prime - Eisenmann Race
Nawaaz - Gintanni w/ catless Gintanni x-pipe (maybe)

JC919: So you live in Spicewood right now, but are moving to Houston on September 8th?
I'll have all my mods on by the beginning of October at the latest, or mid-late September if I get lucky.

Nawaaz: That late? Why does it take so long?

To accommodate everybody's schedule the video/photo shoot will have to be on a weekend. How does Saturday, September 12, 2009 or Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3:00 pm sound?

^I could do either of those as long as the Saturday one is near central Houston. If not, let me know and I can move some things around.--JC

It will most likely be in central Houston because that's where I live. The place I made the first exhaust comparison video seemed like a good spot because it is quiet with no traffic and no people and smooth road.

If this was in Dallas then I'd b down since I'm about to getta axle-back exhaust not listed there. Oh well, looking forward to the video clips!

Yeah, a stock car first is a must. I've only heard it revving. Curious how it sounds on your tests.

Hey buddy, assuming you'll shoot from the same camera location, the only change I suggest is to instruct testers to start accelerating closer to the camera so you can also hear the exhaust past the camera while accelerating. On many of your tests, testers had to let the gas go even before they pass the camera because they were going too fast already. That way viewers would appreciate the exhaust sound from both the front and rear. In fact, the rear sound is the most important for most of us, so I'd make sure all tests capture it. Just a suggestion man; hope you don't take it the wrong way.

Thanks a bunch for doing (and organizing) this ; it'll be great help for sure. Take care.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will use it. The first video really was not done with a true comparison in mind. Once I saw all the clips I realized that the IB and AW cars drove almost the same exact runs so I figured, "Hey I should edit the similar runs back to back for a nice comparison." The next video will be better planned and the drivers will all run identical patterns and speeds and gears. It will be scripted instead of impromptu!

I believe Gintani has to make my entire exhaust, and then send it out to get ceramic coated black. Maybe a couple more weeks until my exhaust comes in.

Then once Gintani ships it, they'll let me know to send my ECU to them for the reflash......And that'll probably take another week to get back to me and also installed. Keep in mind that my car will be 'out of order' until I get my ECU back. After it comes in, I should be all good after the exhaust and ECU are installed.

You can go ahead and continue without me just in case I don't make it. I'll keep you updated though.

Thank you Frank.

I have the Remus Race and might be able to swing into Houston that weekend but I cannot commit yet. I'll keep an eye on this thread but I will most likely be a "game time" decision

dosserj: Keep us posted. We would love to have a Remus Race in the video. Your car looks just like mine...which means it's awesome.

Frank, either of those dates works for me, but I'd probably prefer Saturday.

Niel,
I think the proposed exhaust video weekend is Sept. 12-13. TDE is going to be at TWS on Oct. 3-4. However, TDE is going to be at MSR on Sept. 12-13. Maybe you have the venue dates mixed up. Or maybe my "TDE (The Driver's Edge)" is different than your "the DE."

That would be better for me, but please don't change the date just for me since there's no guarantee on me showing up.

Ha ha...but it would be great to have Nawaaz's Gintani in the video if it's installed in time.

Imagine how much noise the combination of all of our cars would be making as we cruise to the shoot sites.

I was thinking around 3:00 pm for the video portion (take about 1.5 hrs), get something casual to eat at 5:00 pm, and then do the photo shoot from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Evening shots always turn out better, because cars never look good with extreme amount of sunlight. The photo shoot will take more time because we want to arrange the cars in different and various positions for group photos, rather than have the same arrangement at different angles. Of course, I can and will take individual photos as well.

People, bring your USB flash drive so I can give everybody the original high resolution pictures, suitable for printing if you wish.
