G20 caliper Plug and play

According to the video below, the brake caliper from the regular G bmw series works directly in our cars. Other than adding a washer and cutting the pads.

What puzzle me in this setup (other than cutting pad material) is that the caliper specs on the back ask for 348mm rotors which is smaller than ours in the M3.

I also being thinking about the regular non-M FX’s blue calipers which are designed to work with a 345mm disc, very similar to the G20. Have any one tried this?
