The standard car rides on steel springs. I has to get air suspension to get PASM.

Pshhhhh. Drop the Macan and get a fiat so we can all play bumper cars in Raja's back yard...or front yard....or neighborhood.

PASM is the shocks - and the Macan Turbo has PASM standard. If you don't care about the air springs, you can save yourself $1385. (Altjough it's nice because the ride height variability allows for the standard stance to be 15mm lower than the steel springs.)

All the reviews of the Macan are very positive. What drove you to consider (and ultimately purchase) this car? The size of it offers no more utility than a 3 or 5 series it seems. However, it is the only P car besides the PanAm that offers space for a family and a driver focus ride. Thanks.

I read somewhere that with Air Suspension, you're able to lower the car for loading and unloading as well? I do like the 15mm lower suspension overall. Coming from an e92 M3 with Comp Pack, It's something that I would like to have. :

I like mid-size SUV's. AWD, sporty, and plenty of space for family. My father has a herniated disc, and when he sat in the M3, it was grueling. I drive him around, so I needed something comfortable for him to sit in as well.

Yep, that's correct. The various ride-heights of the air suspension are:

Off-road: +40 mm.
Normal: 0 mm (15 mm lower than steel spring suspension)
Low Level: -10 mm
Loading Level: -40 mm, rear only

Congrats! But even if I had a net worth of $1 billion, I still would've opted for a slightly used Cayenne GTS for the same price.

My only concern is the cargo space with the Macan. Anyone seen this thing in person? Is there enough cargo space? Porsche lists it at 17.7 cu ft, that seems a little small even for a vehicle this size.

Just to increase your car knowledge. The Tiquan is based of the golf platform. The Macan is close relative to the Q5, the Q5 is built on the Audi MLB platform. The Macan also has 75% original Porsche parts. So no this is not an expensive Tiquan, nice try though. And I am sure he will really like, as it will be the best handling SUV on the planet.

Cool. Thanks for the response. Makes sense. I've never thought about getting an SUV, but I could possibly win some brownie points with the wifey if I got "the family vehicle" this time. A vehicle like this could possibly do that and allow me to have a fun car.

Thanks BlackJet. The Macan is 20% Audi. Just like BMW's M cars are 20% normal series cars. Nice try though fanboi.
