Take it to the dealer for a rear diff flush. Be sure to reference SIB 33 01 02, which addresses the procedure and specific fluid BMW developed to remedy DCT diff clunks, grinding and other weirdness. Mine was sounding and acting strangely until I had this procedure done. Now all that is completely gone. Maybe you have a different problem, but this can only help and at least you can rule this procedure out if the problems persist.

I did the diff flush , still the problem is there, will bad transmission or engine mounts result in my problem ? The roads are shit where I live so I'm sure they're shot but I haven't checked it yet I'll do it once trans filter and gasket arrive

good to know thanks for the info... a friend had a brz that had clutch slipping for a long time and didn't know why... turned out to be worn engine mount as well.

If something breaks within the next year warranty will cover it(Obviously since BMW won't acknowledge there is a problem). Thanks everybody!

Here is the video of the grinding returning after going away for a while with the GTS flash
Hey did you find out what the issue was? My car was making the same noise and my transmission was leaking. Had my megatronics cover gasket replaced and new fluid and the noise is gone.
