It sounds better
It has better steering 'feel'

When people conclude the f8x is 'shit', its complete hyperbole. I don't care if you've driven a million miles in one, calling any M3 'shit' is beyond subjective. Its clearly an excellent bit of kit. If you want to drive an actually shit car, buy a Mitsubishi Mirage.

Back on topic - beautiful car OP, enjoy!
The F80M is a great car. I get that some people don't like it for various reasons which is fine. But ... When people use negative hyperbole on this site it makes me think they are angry little children stuck in 5th grade.

Thanks bud! You seem to have gone through quite a few cars and getting another LRP would be but a blink of an eye for you. It will take some digging to find a well cared for sample that isn't terribly overpriced. If the search becomes frustrating, there's always EAG!

Nice selection of low mileage cars at EAG and price of $62k seems better than most LRPs listed on their website.

A 40k mile LRP sold on bringatrailer for 48,750 plus 5% fee (so $51,200) back in May. That was a lucky find.

It's my distinct pleasure to finally post a proper introduction as the proud new owner of a used E92 Limerock Edition M3. I've wanted this car ever since it was released and fate finally brought us together.

To say I'm excited would be the understatement of the century. So much so that on my inaugural drive earlier today, I managed to get my very first speeding ticket, 87 in a 55. I think of it as compliments of the state trooper for driving the car the way it's meant to be driven, just short of being reckless!

I have a somewhat long history with BMWs, first buying a new 328xi in 2011 and couple of years later, the ugly duck-of-a-car also known as the 535GT...hey we all make mistakes in life.

We also picked up a 991.1 Carrera GTS in 2015 and now onto car #4 as both my wife and I have jobs couple of miles away from our home.

Prior to the GTS, I really really "tried" liking the new turbo-charged atrociousness known as the F8X generation of ///M cars. Between the ugly angular headlights and terrible hood line, awful sounding engine, electric steering, and fake induction sound pumping to the speakers, I think of it as a bad joke at best...

Last year, I had the opportunity to rent an E92 from RSR and take it around the Ring for 4 laps. That sealed the "must own" deal and I slowly started searching for a Limerock edition.

Forum member kge30m3 was super helpful and patient while trying to connect me with other Limerock owners that were considering selling their cars. I couldn't make a deal and also lost out on a recent BaT auction.
My wife finally took pity on me and worked out a deal with EAG.

Without further ado, here are few lousy shots of the car. Apologies in advance for the iPhone quality as I was too lazy to grab the GoPro.

I'll be updating this thread as I have few mods planned already.

Alex
Congratulations!
If I remember correctly the actual last production E92 M3 was one of these...

Oh wow, but CT is one of worst state to live in due to high taxes. Everything is practically taxed on already. Usually, it is 6.35% on purchase price, but if you purchase a vehicle above 49k, then the tax increases to 7.75%. Most of good cars are worth much more new.

Another thing, if said vehicles are worth in millions, it would be treated as property, so it would be the same thing as paying taxes for house based on house value. I cannot imagine for someone having one of most rarest vehicles registered in CT and paying more taxes each year as value continue to increase.

My neighbor bought a house in Connecticut 15 years ago for $325k in a nice new neighborhood. Been renting it it out. Trying to sell it now and can't even get $250k. CT is top 5 State for exodus / people leaving - I wonder why.

Taxes. That is the biggest issue with CT. Taxes is always going up and the government itself doesn't know where the money is going. I am seeing lots of people my age move to Boston/NYC area for job opportunities.

Lift day today.
Bendpak HD-9ST, narrow version.
Super easy to operate.
Just need to get a 2-plug outlet, 1 for the lift and one for the compressor that is required, getting that adjusted tomorrow.

+1,000 I totally agree.

Also, I lived my first 22 years of my life in CT, oh how I would love to own a Lime Rock Park Edition, unfortunately I couldn't justify the premium over other similar cars. Boy I wish I could afford it!

My boss has one I'm so tempted to offer him something (I'm in the market for one now) but like you said. The premium is hard to justify.

Literally 11? That makes me sad actually. Why buy such a car and let it sit all these years?
