What's the advantage to a dry sump?

What's the advantage to a dry sump?

This will be a purpose built race car so the dry sump provides better oiling especially under lateral loads, better oil cooling, less drive on the motor and it allowed me to place the engine lower in the chassis because the dry sump pan is only 1" thick.



Not to mention the s62 is a front sump and the s54 is rear so the dry sump pan allowed me to not modify the front cross member/subframe.
