purchasing m3 (or any vehicle) from out of state
i'm taking the plunge and looking for a 2008 m3 (w/dct). being in socal w/the slightly higher prices/demand, was considering purchasing from an out of state dealer. other than registration and delivery, what other things do i need to take into consideration? i've read a few other posts mentioning out of state purchases, but still feel ignorant.
any responses appreciated. oh, and if you see a black on blk or red m3 w/dct avail at a really good price i wouldn't mind either |

Cali has some more restrictive rules than other states, I don't know the particulars but I'd guess there's a section of the Cali DOT website that talks to what's involved.

I talked to Emilio at Pacific the other day and he was willing to sell me any M3 in stock for $5k off. The coupes they had were loaded up, but they had a bunch of them sitting on the roof level of the parking garage.

sorry, i should probably clarify a little.
i was wondering how i could go about searching inventory in another state (it seems there are websites that have totals for an area, not just one dealer). i'm trying to find the best price for a dct m3 coupe because all the los angeles dealers i've contacted barely seem to budge on price |

Why bother going out of state??? You can get $500ish over Invoice in LA, I did it with no hassles back in August (non DCT). My dealer was willing to dealer trade in western region if I covered transpo costs if I had wanted something different.
California emissions CARB is more restrictive than other states so you may have to jump some hoops for a new car reg at the DMV. |
