He fixed 2 small pin dents in my old R34 GTR - process involved removing the interior door/panel trim and gently massaging the dents out (it was kinda like magic). I cannot for the life of me recall exactly how much he charged as this was 2yrs ago, but it was around $200 all up (or thereabouts) I think... It included the call-out fee as well obviously.

So here is my plan - I get new rubber coming in the next upcoming 2 weeks. I got Michelin pilot sport cup 2s (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ot+Sport+Cup+2) in 255 35 19 front and 275 35 19 rear. Hopefully these will be okay for me to drive daily. I thought to get the rim rash repaired before the new tires come on, however speaking to Simon from wheelgleam (osbourne park) I was advised to get the rubber on first before rash repair and respray takes place. The only downfall is that wheelgleam can not fit me in before 15th feb on-wards. Wondering if anyone in WA know other reputable wheel repairers? The idea is that I get rims repaired (I even bought genuine new wheels caps along with genuine new m stickers, don't mind me I am pedantic like that, there was nothing wrong with my current caps and stickers but I thought i might aswell for the price of 100 bucks do it properly) then get dints out of side of car (hardly visible 2 marks but again I am pedantic) and then get the car detailed. What do you guys think about this the rubber I bought? I was sold when I read Ferrari in this: The Pilot Sport Cup 2 is Michelin’s Streetable Track & Competition tire originally developed for Original Equipment use on the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Mercedes SLS AMG Coupé Black Series and Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid super sports car. 1) Dent dismissal.. speak to Ben. 0401 867 115. awesome work and quite reasonable priced. ( i would guess less than $150)
2) Tyres i would have gone Pilot super sports personally. especailly cos you arent using them for track days yeah? so be careful in the wet 3) i like the sound of supersprint. im sure you still have your OEM one so its easy enough to sell SS and go from there |

Hi Dzenan, the tyre combination you ordered are fine because I have the same combo on my competition pack wheels. They are great and look beefy and look kind of like having spacers.
As with the wheel repairs, speak with Marko Vellutni at Allianz Wheels repairs. He is at Unit 2, 25 Montgomery Way, Malaga. His number is 9248 4963. His company is used by all European car dealerships in Perth. Very good work. I can vouch for the quality. Only problem is he takes time because he's so busy.

Simon wouldn't do buckle repairs. He only does gutter rash and painting. He was first in line until I rang this arvo and asked about buckle. Simon himself said I should go alliance. I just wonder how true this buckle is?!? I don't feel it while riding in the car. I have my suspicion about the fitter since I am not happy about the wheel alignment he did. I need to work out how to jump the queue! |

Alliance price per wheel is 150 to 250 plus gst depending on the problem. These guys can fit me late feb Simon will charge 150 and can fit me mid feb. Kind of makes the effort of spending money to only identify a buckle and to go to simon over Marko cost more then taking it to alliance straight up. What distorts a wheel alignment and wheel balance? Probably wasn't smart of me to do a wheel alignment this morning knowing that the wheels will be coming off for repair or maybe the repair doesn't change the wheel alignment. |
