If heat is the concern run teknofibra on the bottom of the plenum.

Should probably be doing that anyway. It won't hurt anything.

As for Alex from Alpine said he doubts there's more power to be had but he does have plenum map for just sound just list it under your mods list.
Can you provide any more info on Alex's plenum tuning option? What's the difference in sound, function, etc.

I have an a alpine tune (stage 2) also. Thanks.

To answer the question about heat concerns:

If the plenum is run on a car with a supercharger, then there is no warranty. The plenum is designed to be used on N/A engines. Testing has not been done with FI.

Bottom can handle 150 degrees celcius with intermittent exposure to ~180 celcius

The place where the two parts meet can handle 130-150 celcius max and top can handle 180 celcius.

The engine will never be at those temperatures so Haimus doesn't understand the concern unless you were planning on pairing it with a supercharged setup without an intercooler.

TLDR
Don't buy this plenum if you have a supercharged set as warranty will not apply.

How would this even fit onto an S65 with a supercharger already installed?

It's one or the other, both won't fit onto the same engine simultaneously, so if they think that it would, kinda makes me question their engineering knowledge of the S65 (respectfully).

Any news on answers to the other questions?

I believe their answer was to emphasize that the plenum is made to withstand 'high' temperatures as you would have other issues to worry about if it gets to the point of being too hot.

Yes their 5 year warranty covers normal usage

Hey any updates on getting answers to our questions regarding warranty?

Or they just don't want to answer? 😁

I've updated my previous reply, but to answer the question. Yes of course the warranty covers normal usage. Warping will only occur at 240+ celcius. Like beforementioned: you got other problems to worry about if that's the case.

Let me know if you have additional questions!

Group Buy - Haimus Racing Carbon Fiber Plenum

Is the warranty transferable if one were to sell the plenum within the 5yr coverage period?

How does this compare to the Eventuri plenum (in terms of sound)??? Is this louder???

Part of the issue with these plenums, is that you cant hear them over a moderate exhaust. The E46 M3 CSL plenum is ALOT louder. This may be due to the fact that there is a big hole to the engine, but still its disappointing.

Can anyone answer this (or link a comparison video)?

Spencer made a vid with driving impressions. Mentions the Haimus is louder than his previous Eventuri plenum+intake, but later says it's hard to compare since he's currently running OEM intake. So, I'm a little confused but I appreciate his review as always.

I haven't heard them to have an opinion yet, but will have a video after we receive & install the plenum.

This ended up being plenum only and not the elbow+filter too right?
