Glad I barely got in on the group buy, just checked my VANOS cover through the oil filler hole and it looks like my cap is starting to come off. Now I'm paranoid to drive the car until my replacement Slonik covers come.

Is anyone considering getting their Slon VANOS covers anodized or plated? I am considering doing this for fear of galvanic corrosion, even though it is unlikely to happen with the part coated in so much engine oil.

I’m in the UK. Would you be happy to ship to the UK? Of course I’d cover the postage etc. If so will make payment for the covers by Paypal right now, and will make a further payment for the postage when you’ve got them in hand ready to ship… Cheers Jack |

I am quite impressed with the machining required to produce these seeing how thin and light they are. They seem well engineered and I think I will get them anodized even though the finish won't be perfect (you would have to remove the machining marks and removing more material is something that's probably not advisable).
Take a look: |

If I want to order these directly from Slon how do I go about that?
I have found what I think is their website but it’s mainly in Russian and I can’t see any pics of these vanos covers to click on etc. How do I place an order with them? Cheers Jack |

I just went to their website, clicked English at the top and then contact. Filled out the message form and said I was interested in their vanos covers. They wrote me a mail stating the price and the shipping time and if I was interested they could send over a paypal invoice. I said yes, paid the invoice and got them a few days later all the way from Russia via EMS. Good experience.
