Hoping to be able to play one more round in October. Gotta wait for all of this damn rain to stop and dry everything out first.

Got a round in Saturday between the hurricane rain bands.
Where I couldn't miss the fairway the week prior, I hit 0 (that's zero) fairways on Saturday. Worst day off the box I can recall, ever. Was able to salvage 6 pars...but poor putting also haunted me on the back 9. Time to take those lessons.

Got 18 in today. Probably the last round with the yellow ball as the leaves will turn and drop during Oct. Transitioning to the white ball - more difficult for me to see in the air.
My game is finally coming around - just in time for friggen winter :-( |

Planning a December trip to Florida. What is/are the best public course(s) in Martin County or adjacent counties? Best to me means course condition, scenery and overall experience including dining.

There’s also the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie. The Peter Dye course is my favorite of the three at PGA. The Fazio course is decent. The Wanamaker course is “ok”, but not for the price. I honestly cannot tell you about dining as I’ve always went somewhere else for dinner. |

Thanks, I will have a look. The Dye course is private, correct?

The PGA Dye course is public, but very very expensive in the winter.
I played there a couple decades ago for $24 l, cart included during the summer. But it was freaking hot. I used to be a "polar bear" until I took up golf. Florida Club and Hammock are over $100. I was in the area a couple years ago, look for "hot deals" on GolfNow |
