EDIT: I have since took my car to IRVINE BMW with positive results!!! Region: California Dealership Name: Irvine BMW Sales or Service: Service Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Jose F. Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 5 Work Performed/Attempted: window trim paint coming off, push button paint coming off, seat creek, b pillar creeking Recommended? (Yes or No): hell yes. Additional Comments: I finally got around to taking my car into another dealer. This time Irvine BMW. From start to finish, I had a great experience. I worked with Jose F. who was a very professional and nice guy to chat with. He seemed relaxed, calm and just overall willing to help. I had him look at my shadowline trim paint that was coming off, my push button paint that chipped off, my front seat that was creaking, and a rattle in the b pillar area. He said NO problem and was shocked Crevier gave me a hard time about something that was clearly defective on a 10 month old car. He took me to his desk and said if they have the parts in stock, they would try to get it all done same day. If not, they would order the parts and have them the following day. I got a call at 2PM (dropped it off at 9am). And he told me my car was ready! They replaced all the shadowline trim, my push to start button and fixed both rattles/creaks. Plus the actually washed my car pretty good. No swirls, no water spots, no issues with the wash! Overall, I felt they serviced me the way a dealer should. I will never go to Crevier again and from now one IRVINE BMW will have my business! Thank you Irvine BMW! Job well done!

Region: SoCal Dealership Name: Steve Thomas BMW Sales or Service: Sales Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Ryan Amico Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 5 Work Performed/Attempted: New car order Recommended? (Yes or No): Yes Additional Comments: Hands down the most competent and professional CA I've worked with through many a new car purchase. Even with Ryan on the West Coast and me across the country, everything went down without a hitch. Checa sorted everything out with the Florida DMV, all of the paperwork was accurate, and even though the timeframe from requesting a quote to delivery spanned almost six months, the experience exceeded even my expectations which were "up there". Well done Ryan/Checa/Steve Thomas BMW. I'm happy to rep for you with one of your license plate frames. You ARE that good! ![]()

Region: Ontario, Canada Dealership Name: Budd's BMW Sales or Service: both Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Ian P. Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 3 Work Performed/Attempted: sale & change tire, fix tint, minor stuff. Recommended? (Yes or No): maybe Additional Comments: I bought my m3 used from budd's. I heard stellar reviews, so I had appropriate expectations, and was left pretty much disappointed. Now it was a full individual car so it was pretty unique so my buying power was non existent. Price was still decent, but absolutely no room for negotiation, I'd suspect it would be much better with non M cars or other "normal' m3s etc. Now Ian was excellent until he made the sale. Now this is usually true for all car sales, but Budd's was promising to be different (they spend alot of time promoting their service, I got letters and emails claiming to be open door, contact any time, even Ian told me that but he was lying). I spent a week trying to hound him down cuz there was a few bits missing (the parts in the trunk, and a scratch on the window tint, both he promised he would help me with, but then disappeared once he got the check). To this day (4 months) he never got back to me, not once. I had to harass Daryl Budd who had his second in command sort me out (Reno) He is all stars, he got everything done ASAP and I was made whole. Daryl is a great guy, but he promotes perfect service which he just doesn't deliver on. Staff is always friendly, but tasks get lost or delayed in the beurocracy. I took my car in to get the summer tires put on because they failed to put them on for when I took delivery. The spare key didn't work and they had to order a new one as well. Now all of this should have been taken care of in their 360 degree check they promised they were gonna do before delivery, but they didn't. I suspect all they did was wash it, they had a week its not hard to fix these things. Anyway, when I got there it was all smiles and yes sir right away, I was told it would take no more than 1.5-2 hours. That turned into 4.5. They claimed that the key had to be reprogrammed and that took 3 hours and the tires took 2 cuz that they didn't know they had to put the tires on the same rims. EVEN THOUGH I specifically told them when I booked the appointment that i was going to use the same wheels and that they had them in storage waiting for me. Their lounge is small and right in the sun so its very hot. The only reason I'd go to Budd's again is if I lived in oakville and wanted Dinan parts (they're the only dealer in Canada). Instead I'd suggest going to Mississauga BMW or an independent one. I tested them out with just a refill of tires but they got me sorted in 10 minutes no charge and were really nice. Their lounge is huge and more comfortable, the overall place is just alot nicer (probably because they just renovated). I'm going to make mississauga my regular one and write up a review for you all once I have real work done there.

(Yes or No): YES Additional Comments: I had such a great experience working with David and his team at Northwest. David was able to provide me with all the info that I needed, responded promptly to questions I had, and when the car was ready for pick up everything was taken care of. I seriously couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction. |

Region: NY/Long Island Dealership Name: Habberstad BMW Bayshore Sales or Service: Service Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Conigliaro Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 2 Work Performed/Attempted: Oil service, service engine light on Recommended? (Yes or No): No Additional Comments: Brought in car for oil service and to get a service engine light diagnosed. Was quoted $400.00 for just an oil change. When I asked why other dealers do the same service for under $200 he said that they must have had a promo or something, complete BS. The fuel pump and fuel pump sensor were replaced to remedy the service engine prob. Three days after getting the car back it stalled on the highway with my 8 yr old in back seat when I was doing 60+ mph. Had to get a tow to dealer at my own expense. Dealer said that all the coils misfired and caused the stall. They were replaced. When I finally read the work order it plainly said that there was an empty gas tank code. What it didn't say was that it ran out of gas because of the botched fuel pump install that caused the fuel guage to give a faulty reading. On my final visit they ran out of loaner cars even though I made an appointment that day specifically because they said they would have loaners. I got a Hertz Mazda that I had to pay insurance for. When they replaced the the fuel pump for the second time they charged me for a half a tank of fuel because they said they had to top of tank to check fuel sensor. I filled the tank up the night before I dropped it off. They did not give a receipt for the fuel they supposedly put in the car. (Edit): The car went in for a fourth time because the original problem presented itself again, service engine light back on for emissions problem. They replaced fuel pump control unit. Total cost of repairs to date, over $3000.00 for an emissions diagnosis and repair. Last edited by wooderson; 03-19-2013 at 11:14 AM.. |

Alabama, Birmingham, Tom Williams BMW
Alabama, Birmingham
Tom Williams BMW One of the most horrible dealerships I have been to! They overcharge for repairs, my seatbelt extenders cost me $500 to repair ( I should have done a DIY) Then I wanted to look at an M3 and the Sales rep made me wait 2 hours (by my watch) to give me a quote for my trade in. They never provide any loaner cars because they claim they are very busy. Service is equally horrible. After 3 days of leaving my car in there, they were not able to take a look at it. Then on the 5th day they told me it would cost $5000 to repair my axle because it was bent. I dont know how it could get bent. And said a lot of parts were rusted so they needed to be replaced and were not covered under CPO! Contacted BMW of N.A and did not get much of a response. My friends have had a similar experience. They are a public company (Sonic Automotive dealer) and there is no drive to sell or excel in customer care. As compared to Columbia, MO where JOE MACHENS BMW manager would at least listen to me and try to accommodate me. And I baby my cars! My Cars are hand waxed every other weekend. I am trying to avoid buying an M3 while in Birmingham, Alabama! ![]() |

Kuni BMW - Buyers Beware
Region: Oregon
Dealership Name: Kuni BMW Sales or Service: Sales Name of Salesperson/Advisor: Steve Cho Overall Experience (1 lowest 5 highest): 2 Work Performed/Attempted: N/A Recommended? (Yes or No): No Additional Comments: Assisted a family member on checking one of their vehicles they had on the lot the other day. The SA named above was kind enough for us to test drive the car while he waited in his office however we ended up walking away since they were not willing to deal. Came home to an email from Steve asking for feedback so I gave it to him with comparing other dealerships that are willing to deal and received the following response: "I think we are living in two different world. You expect our car selling price should be close to invoice . Huh? Let's stop at this point . You don't have any idea what you are talking about. This is not a non profit organization " |

Btw, I drove by them today. I threw a nice rev at some sales people that were out front. With my Megan exhaust and test pipes I hope they enjoyed the sound as much as I do!

Jimmy, why does the parts department guy doesn't even know your name. I stopped by last July to purchase a quart of oil before heading out to Santa Ynez Valley for some wine tasting; the guy behind the counter didn't even recognized your name.
