Anyone saying this price seems high must not be doing the math. The car stock is worth $40k+. Mods are $100k+ and many of them are unobtainable. You are getting the mods for 50% off and all the development is done. Off the top of my head: Suspension- $15k (coilovers plus arms/bushings) Brakes - $10k GTS lip - $4500 (unobtainable) GTS cage and seat delete - $10k (unobtainable) GTS steering wheel - $2500 (unobtainable) Seats - $4k Carbon trim and console - $2k (unobtainable) Plenum - $3k Wing and trunk supports - $4k Varis Difuser - $4k Akra GT4 - 7k (unobtainable) Wheels / Tires - $7k Door Panels - $3k Plus labor and all the other parts on the list….

We are saying the same thing here. I would be saying he should ask $160k If I thought you could simply add the mod prices to the price of the car. I agree that Mods do not add value 1:1. However quality mods add some sort of value. In this instance we are talking about a number of unobtainable OEM parts and quality aftermarket parts. The point I was illustrating is that the value of these parts well exceeds the asking price. In fact you could discount the mods more than 50% (more like 60% to 70%) and still end up ahead. I would not apply this principle to throw away mods like replica wheels or entry level coilovers. Personally I would assume zero value in that instance. I have bought cars using this premise and was very happy to save money on parts I would have bought anyway. Not everyone wants a car developed to this level but if you do it’s a great value.

Never heard of a splicer spec before this thread... just trying to understand it's just an aesthetic of a 'track car'? Because theres 2 GT4 M3s for sale at similar price points and if you're in for power might as well get a supercharged E92 for less $$.

This build isn’t about power. It’s a low weight street car optimized for reasonable track performance without sacrificing street manners. It’s a phenomenal build and no doubt well executed. Is it worth $100k regardless of the parts? Idk remains to be seen. I don’t find any value in the OEM “unobtainables” given they were overpriced for their performance relative to more capable Motorsport parts. But everyone has different agendas. This is a fantastic car that someone will enjoy blasting around and taking to cars and coffee. I hope the OP holds onto it.

Unfortunately we'll never know what the market thinks, but if this were to be thrown on BAT I would say comfortably under 60k. There's a 4.4L Dinan stroker E92 track spec on racingjunk for just under 60k with better parts *imo* and half the miles.
There's a BIG difference between bolt-ons and engineering 1-off parts for a car. The latter tends to do way more because teams can purchase turn-key racecars for their series. This is really a street spec that can be used on track - so it's unlikely an individual will pay anywhere near this asking. Very clean car, not talking anything away from it. But you can't post a car w/ bolt-ons for 92k on this forum and not expect a little price policing action! All in good fun, let the market decide! ![]() |

Slicer is making a fair point, and every single mod has a value, and add in that many of the mods are "unobtainable" adds even more value.
The problem with that thinking is we're NOT all in agreement on the value of each mod, and as we add in more mods, the value proposition as a whole will naturally go down because of the "I don't value that mod" question each buyer will ask himself. For example, if I as a buyer don't care about the GTS mods, those have $0.00 value add for me while the seller (conservatively) adds $9k to asking price and expects EVERY BUYER to accept that value, which is not going to happen with me as the buyer. Many sellers quickly realize all buyers are picking and choosing a value for the car based on the Mods THEY want, which means unless the seller finds a guy that wants and values EVERY single mod he did, he will never sell the car for the value he expects. The only way the seller can get top value for the mods, he must part it out, something he spelled out very clearly he doesn't want to do. Add in a very tough market the past 6 months, that has taken an even deeper nose dive recently given Jan/Feb are slow months, it doesn't appear this car will sell for close to asking. Let's be clear that the seller has an outstanding and one of a kind vehicle, there is no dispute there; IMHO it's about the sum of the parts does not equal the value he seeks. Quote:

The car sold yesterday evening for asking price. Thanks to those in this thread to were helpful. To everyone else with passive aggressive remarks, the idea that someone can act salty with regards to what someone else asks for their own property is absurd to me.
