Keep these or go back to stock 220Ms?

Guys,

I hope you are all doing well. I've been having a hard time deciding if I want to keep the new wheels that I bought. I do like the way they look, but I also think the stock 220Ms are hard to beat.

Some food for thought

*I am running 15mm spacers up front with the radenergies that I am not too happy about, as I get some vibrations that have been tough to diagnose.
*In some angles, the lipped fronts look a bit small within the wheel wells.

Regardless, I think I was a bit hasty in purchasing these, but lesson learned for the future.

They look pretty good to me. The vibration issue shouldn't be too hard to diagnose!

I like both but liking the radenergies more. Although the vibrations would annoy me. Get them rebalanced and see what happens.

Jesal thank you for the inputs. I've had them rebalanced twice. There are no vibrations without the spacers. The vibrations seem to derive from the front right wheel spacer, but I am not sure what could be causing it (I drove the car with just the left front on and had no issues).

I am using 15mm HR spacers with extended lugs. I was very deliberate about putting the bolts on in the right pattern, hand torquing them first before torquing them with the wrench.

Any tips sir?

1) I've removed both spacers and there are no vibrations

2) Put on just the front left spacer and there are no vibrations

3) Vibrations happen when I put on the front right spacer, but am not sure what else I can do to sort it out.

Spacers just enhance a problem thats already there. Just may not feel it without the spacer.

So theres something wrong with that front right wheel. Might be a small bend, tire pressure, out of balance, etc..

This is a good point! I will request a rebalancing of that particular wheel.

Are the spacers bent? Are the lugs a little too long? If you swap the spacer you suspect to be te root to the other side does it still vibrate?

Good questions. I will try swapping the spacer to the left side to see if the problem persists. Spacer does not look bent and the lugs are the correct size.

I really like the 220Ms, especially when the car is rolling it has a nice contract.

get the H&R spacers. I first got some no brand ones and the steering vibrates. Once i got the h&r, problem solved

Both are nice rims. The 220's complement the body style better, especially the wider fenders with tailing in rear. Too much deep dish shortens the rear too much while the slight concavity on the 220's (on this body style) balances out the sides and rear quite nicely.

IMO the radenergies lose its appeal on the rear but do well on the front end.

Keep wheels! They look good. Just get the problem diag'd. Could be the spacer, could be the wheel.

personally not my style of wheels so I'd sell them, and you can't go wrong with 220s. You can always powder coat them if you get bored of the look
