Also after the M3 it will be daddy time, so most likely my DD will be an M5 or X5
Well Porsche prices will increase as well.

I thought I remembered it, but I could not find it with a quick search (I was going to add a link in my post).

I have to disagree that most can answer honestly at this point. Even if we knew every detail about the car, it won't be here for almost four years (in the US). A lot can happen in that time including the debut of other attractive alternatives that don't exist today such as a new IS-F, ATS-V, next generation Mustang, Jaguar competitor perhaps with a V8, new C63 coupe, new 911, something surprising from Audi, more details on the F22 1M, and probably a half dozen others I am not thinking of right now.

I'll wait until the car comes out and weigh it's performance and value against everything else that is available at the time.

Im surprised at the number of "no" responses. Who cares if it's turbo, it will be one of the most advanced turbos out there. Also, the car will be better in nearly every way a la E36 -> E46 -> E92...

W/R/T above post, I think you're right, it can't be determined at this point, but if you're a true BMW loyalist, the only other car you should considering is F10 M5

I would consider one, I wonder if they will offer the saloon again as they do in the E90?

I will buy it anyways. I still plan to keep my e92 . I might consider the M5 but it all depends if I can afford to save enough to pay it cash.

Disagree. F22 1M as I said.

For me, I'm not really into the blind brand loyalty thing. I will buy from whoever makes the best car for my needs.

Yes! Or a GT3. Who knows. I love cars and I'm kind of fickle. The rendering of the new one is hot and if it looks anything like that, who knows.

Soon as we know the redline, power, torque, and turbo layout, I can answer that poll

I'm just surprised at the number of people who love high-revving NA engines for the sake of high-revving NA engines. (meaning it doesn't necessarily have to be better-performing or efficient by any means, but does need to sound high-pitched and have a needle somewhere passing a high number)

Apparently the sake of high-revving NA engines is important enough that a lot of people will not consider any other type before they even know the performance or characteristic end-result.

I suppose you're right, but setting aside the issue of turbo v. NA for a moment, the F3X M3 is still expected to outperform the current E9X all across the board, as most successive M cars do. It could "feel" worse, as i felt from E46 M3 to E92 M3, but it's still going to be a better car and I will still covet it (and if i'm lucky - F10 M5 as well).

Agreed, but for those hardcore N/A folks, it's either that or Porsche from what I've been reading.

And I don't quite believe in BMW's TT technology at the moment..so I'll be sticking with the e90M3 for a little while when i get it.

I have owned E46 M3 (and non-M), now E92 M3 and based on what I know about the new model and BMWs in general, I will commit to owning an F3x at some point regardless of what I hear about it. I'll decide if it blows or not...

Based on no specs whatsover having been confirmed by BMW, my answer is "no" but subject to change. If rumors are confirmed, my answer in "no" as well since that would mean a turbocharged M3.
