**BBS Motorsports E05 (3 piece BBS FI)** SoCal

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

Item Interest
I'm beginning the process of parting out my car. Wheels are off the car and ready for sale. I have had many sets of wheels on this platform (15+) and these are by far my favorite. Locals have priority.

Description: BBS Motorsports E05 - these are made to order by BBS.

Black Centers, Black anodized lips and barrels
18x10 et25 - 275/35/18 BFG G-Force Rivals
18x11 et25 - 295/35/18 BFG G-Force Rivals
2010+ TPMS

Note: BBS Motorsports wheels are the only wheels that BBS sells replacement parts allowing for easy repairs (BBS does not sell parts for their LM's, LM-R's, etc). BBS will sell you lips, barrels or even new centers. This is a huge bonus and adds a ton of practicality to these wheels.

Compatibility: Stoptech 380mm, Brembo 365mm (not 380mm). I will advise on fitment depending on your suspension set up. The currently installed tires require very specific car set-up (the Rivals run extremely wide and square). Different tires would make fitment easier.

Mileage: 3k miles of street use and ZERO track use.

Wheel Condition: Fantastic condition - no curb rash, scratches, bends, nearly as new. See pics below.

Tire Condition: 7.2/32 is the tread depth when new. Current tread depth is just under 7/32. See pics below

Location: Cardiff, CA

Noooooooooo!!!! Why?! What's next!

Do you have an asking price for the car as a whole?

Also, price for the seats full setup?

Some notes about BBS Motorsports wheels:

Racing Pedigree:
These are from the BBS Motorsports department which is separate from their street wheel department. BBS Motorsports makes custom wheels for numerous racing teams including BMW RLL team, the new Turner Motorsports Z4, Risi Ferrari etc. The E88's are an evolution of a classic BBS design that's been around for decades. It's the same wheel that is found on the Daytona Prototype cars as well as the 911 Cup cars (the latest version of the cup cars have a slightly different wheel design with similar construction). Simply put there is not a wheel in existence with better racing pedigree than the BBS e88, E05's (or it's many variations).

Customization:
The E88's, E05's and other multi-piece iterations sold by BBS Motorsports are custom made to the owner's specifications. BBS's street wheels are only available in off the shelf offsets and widths which frankly are often not logical. Many of BBS's street wheels are not available in specs that interest me. For example the 19" FI's have useless offsets and the 19" LM-R's are not available in anything wider than 10".

Repairable:
BBS Motorsports wheels are the only wheels that BBS sells replacement parts allowing for easy repairs (BBS does not sell parts for their LM's, LM-R's, etc). BBS will sell you lips, barrels or even new centers. This is a huge bonus and adds a ton of practicality to these wheels. Damage a BBS LM, FI or LM-R... buy a whole new wheel ($1300 to $2000). Damage a lip on an E05... buy a new lip ($220).

Quality:
Look closely at the pictures. The E05 has back milled spokes to minimize weight and the detailing on the centers is phenomenal. The centers and lips are fully forged and these are known to be a very strong wheel. Their weight is not super impressive (22 lbs) but they are again very strong and the build quality is second to none.

Do you have an asking price for the car as a whole? I would need $75k. The reality is that parting out will be the best option for me financially.

Also, price for the seats full setup? $3k

Crazy! Excited to see how it ends up! However my best friend has been thru 3 E46 M3's, an E36 M3, and is now on his second E9x M3 because he liked it so much... I'm sure you've weighed things out already though!

Thank You! I'm sure I will regret this move but there are multiple motivations in play.

Woah, an E46. Didn't see that coming. I love them as well though, such beautiful cars.

If you get a full part out thread, let me know. I might be interested in a few (smaller) things on your car. Good luck with everything!

I have been creating individual threads for each part but it might be best to do one big part-out thread. Basically everything is for sale in my signature....
