Wink Matte Blue Metallic Wrap

Just felt like sharing my new project. Just purchase a Silver 08 M3 Coupe last week. Decided i wanted to make it unique before i really even begin to use it. I fell in Love with a frozen blue metallic M3 i saw online and decided to take on the DIY project.

So far just a few not so great images with my phone. But you get the idea. I'll be taking pro pics once the car is fully finished. Took approx. 2 full days of work between 4 people (including myself and slight help from the 4th guy) at my friend's custom shop (Golden Customs in Chester NY) to do all of the wrapping/painting of trims (matte black) incl. mufflers.

Next weekend i'm going to be painting my roof flat black as well as the stock wheels (I'd consider after-market but i live in NYC. Too many jacked up roads so im keeping the stock wheels) Im also looking to change the halo bulbs to white and adding front and back CF diffusers to finish it off.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I like the color, but the tails look fake.

I think that will look really nice once everything is tied together with the black accents. Not a huge fan of the extreme black tails tho.

Thank you. I hear you on the lights. Kind of makes the car look like a toy lol but im totally cool with it.... I thought about keeping the tail lights stock, but i was going to matte black my roof and wheels no matter what.... and i don't like half-ass darkened lights cuz they just look like a failed attempt and tinting the lights IMO. So i went flat black.

Perhaps when everything is done it will all tie in together great!

Be careful with extreme tint on taillights. If someone runs into the back of you, they can claim that you have improper taillights, and make life more complicated than it already is. Just from a safety standpoint, I'd remove the tint.

Otherwise, the blue looks good.

I may upgrade to the Newer tail lights later on down the line. Nonetheless they're gonna stand out too much once the wheels and roof are matte black But I also own an 01 IS300 i've had for 8 years with black tails and never had any issues. Got like 1 ticket in the past but the cop pulled me over for something else and just gave me a ticket for the lights to give me a break. Thanks though!

this makes no sense as all cars have head and taillamps... My car is all black w/ black wheels and the OEMS lights front and rear look fine. IMO it sticks out the way it is, but the wrap is cool!

I kinda like the tail lights and, I usually don't like tinted tails. Give it a chance till you get the rest completed. Love the wrap.

We just finished doing an is300 this color at our shop last week, if this is the same color we used, these pics do not do the color justice! You used the new 3m color right?

Check out our customer's is300 just before wrapping up
