Exclamation Car Crash! Need AutoBody shop Recomendation - Orange County

Hello all,

First of all, I've been searching the forums for this type of info, and all I've found was numerous posts about accidents and pictures of accidents but not many recommendations about autobody shops for major accidents. If I post this in the wrong place please let me know! Feel free to flame too. I'll post pics later for all to oogle.

I've never been in an auto accident so I do not really know where to take my car except for maybe the tow guys recommendation since I didn't have time to research. However I need to tow my car to a shop today and would like any recommendations anyone can offer my way. Currently I'm thinking of Sterling Collision in Newport Beach or Spectrum autobody in Irvine. Though both say they're bmw certified on their sites, BMW NA's site says that only Spectrum is certified. I'm leaning toward spectrum, thoughts anyone?

In any case, yesterday a car swerved onto my lane and I therefore also swerved, but ended up demolishing the bottom half of my front right undercarriage as I carefully went into the center median of bushes and a 9inch high curb. The airbags didn't deploy, so the damage wasn't very abrupt, however the front right bottom portion of my car and tires are pretty much toast.

Check these guys out. I know they have a very good reputations with the guys from MFest forum. Talk to Nate. They're up in pasadena though.

FYI, His shop also did Vorsteiner CF Roof on an E90. Can't find the thread right now. Good luck with repairs.

I sent my wife's Z3 to Spectrum back in 2002. They did an ok job.
Even though they are certified, I won't use them again. They are just plain too slow.

Mechanics at both House of Import and Shelly BMW recommend Collision Master in Buena Park.

Took my 335 to Spectrum a few weeks ago. They did a great job on a $2,700 body repair. It took a while though, maybe 6 days. I took a BMWCCA sponsored tour there at the beginning of this year and was impressed. It seems that they are working on dozens of BMWs at any one time. Go check it out and ask for a behind the scenes before you turn your car over to them.
