FS: 2009 E92 M3 - Alpinweiss/Fox Red Novillo - 6MT - 52k miles
FOR SALE 2009 BMW M3 E92 coupe Alpinweiss exterior Fox Red Novillo leather interior 6 speed manual transmission Carbon fiber roof Factory Options (window sticker available): Premium Package Technology Package Heated front seats Rear parking sensors iPod/USB adapter Smartphone integration Factory 19” 220 wheels 52,xxx miles Previous owner installed items: - FormulaOne window tint side/rear windows @ 35% - Carbon fiber rear wing - Carbon fiber rear diffuser - Carbon fiber front splitter - MachtSchnell wheel spacers 15mm front/12mm rear - RPI air scoops - painted front reflector replacements - LCI LED taillights - bright white angel eyes (not sure of the brand of bulb) - AC Schnitzer aluminum pedals - Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires (pics below with the penny test and also showing where they are with respect to the wear bars - I don’t have a tread depth gauge) What have I done since owning it? - Carbon fiber mirror covers (adhesive-backed overlay, not the BMW replacement) - M logo door projector lights (I have the stock ones if this isn’t your jam) - Plasti-dipped stock 220 rims flat black (peels off easily if this is also not your thing) - Painted front kidney grilles flat black - Takata airbag and blower regulator wiring harness recalls performed at BMW dealer What does it need? - Front windshield has a rock chip about the size of a dime - it has been filled in by a professional glass repair service but can still be seen. I didn’t find it significant enough to replace the windshield, but that’s my personal preference. Yours may differ. - Front bumper has minor damage from a minor impact (noted below and with close up pics at the bottom of this post) Some I've been in contact with have said they want to replace the bumper, others don't mind. I didn't find this significant either to my enjoyment of the car. **Update - I have fixed the below items as of 11/1, I have a $1k receipt for the work:** - AC system service (refilled the R134a and checked for leaks - none came up) - Brake Fluid Service (flush brake fluid system - this was a light on the maintenance section of the iDrive) - Oil Change (the yearly oil change light came on) - New thermostat and sensor (P0128 code was thrown, and this was the fix) What else can I share about the vehicle history? Originally sold at BMW of Honolulu, HI (I have the original window sticker) then transported to Texas before making its way to Illinois via trade on a new Tesla Model S (I bought it from the broker who took it on trade). I’ve had it a little over 2 years in the Chicago suburbs and sporadically drove it on decent days in the winter. It has been in the garage when I’m not driving it. I work from home a bunch and take public transportation to work a lot. It has normal wear for a 50k mile 10 year old car (couple paint chips around the body that I fixed with the factory touch up paint kit - which will be included in the sale - Alpinweiss paint and clear coat and the aftermarket carbon fiber front splitter is slightly faded, likely due to the Texas sun) I have Blackstone oil reports from the oil changes (with the low mileage, I've changed it once a year) and there's no issue with premature rod bearing wear. I can send those along as well. I really enjoy this car and will be sad to see it go. It’s one of the top 2 cars I’ve ever owned (the other was a C5 Z06 Corvette) - The CarFax shows clean with no issues (no accident history or anything - CARFAX history-based retail value back in Sept 2016 was $35,860) - The Autocheck shows an accident on 2/5/2013 as “Left Front Impact Collision” (you can see some slight touch up on the bumper and a small indentation near the bottom of the bumper plastic, and I’ve also used the factory paint touch up kit on chips from daily driving. If I don’t point it out, it’s barely noticeable. I’ve had it checked out by my BMW dealer when I bought it and no issues were present) **I have both the Autocheck and Carfax in PDF form I can send to interested parties - they were from 2016 back when I bought it, so if you want to rerun them you’re welcome to, but there will be no surprises. If you really enjoy the car, why are you selling it? I’m buying a home so that takes financial priority. There is a loan on the car, so losing the payment would be helpful. It's time to leave the car game for a little while, but I'll be back - I always come back I don’t need help selling this car, and I don’t need to give it away. Any reasonable offers will be considered; I'd love this car to go to someone who would enjoy it as much as I have. Got any other questions? PM me. Thanks for looking! Update - I have fixed all mechanical issues as of today and updated the original post with details. Only the two minor cosmetic things remain (windshield, bumper). If I wasn't committed to sell it, I might consider keeping it - someone come get it before I change my mind
