IE; PreCat O2s were cheaper on FCP than ECS. Approx $10USD.

You'll probably get more info if you look in the track forum. I know there are guys that are using the same set for 20-30 events. PFC11 is a track pad and will consume rotors faster on the street (abrasive friction mode instead of adhesive friction mode). They'll run a lot cooler than the OEM rotors which is going to make a measurable difference. Consumable costs will go down, but the performance will be better than OEM on the track.

I've been using them for most my parts now. Haven't gotten to use the warranty yet, but their prices are quite competitive with the free s/h anyhow.

Sorry, I meant 20-30 track days on a single set of rotors. Pad longevity will vary greatly based on your driving skill, the tracks you frequent, tires, the pad compound itself, etc.

https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/the-fcp-story They've been around in some form since the 80s, but I would say that they have been making a big push lately to eat into sales from the big guys like ECS/Turner, Tischer, etc.

I plan to use their Lifetime Warranty on the Oil since they boast about it so much. I'm buying basically any maintenance items from them. I plan to order Castrol SRF from them and replace it annually with my oil.

That's not universally true however. Their OEM BMW parts have typically been cheaper than ECS--I've been buying wheel speed sensors like they're going out of style recently and have directly compared the two. Plus I have found the shipping to be a little cheaper with FCP.

If it hasn't been said before, I believe they price match as well. I've purchased parts from them and they've been great. Haven't had to return anything yet under their warranty though.

Nothing they sell is only a one time replacement.
He means that many parts an owner will buy (except consumables) don't need to be replaced more than once. If a window motor goes out, you probably won't find yourself replacing it again. You can buy and return rotors 50x if necessary. |

it's possible that someone tries to game the system and return oil from not just one car but multiple cars that use the same oil and filter
how can FCP tell for sure? i have no idea they probably can't but if people started returning engine oil kits every month or 2, then FCP might put limitations on the policy that'd screw it up for everyone that's just one possibility i can think of

Personally, it feels kinda wrong to send back these sorts of consumable items like oil and filters. Does anyone else feel this way? I can understand the warranty for sensors or other parts, but oil?? That being said, I had my TAs replaced under warranty but should they go out again, I will def buy replacements from FCP Euro!

I'm pretty sure FCP doesn't even run into this problem. Otherwise they'd more than likely have a policy where fluids couldn't be returned more than 2-3x per year for the same car. For something like oil I just don't do it often enough to make a return worth it. If it were something really hurting them it simply wouldn't be offered. |

Sorry I should have specified. I mean at my plant (work), I get paid for someone to come and pick up our "scrap." Aluminum, copper, steel, all that jazz. There's a huge business in recycling goods. Those rotors aren't light!
