Who has a manual E90/92 in Australia?

Where are all the manual E90 and E92 (LCI) in Australia?

Go for the unicorn. Eg did any 2013 pure editions come in a manual that were delivered to oz.

Ps I have a manual ride in a German mark with twin turbos.
Really wanted a e90 m3 manual but didn't have the patience or budget to wait on the side lines for one to come up. That said absolutely not disappointed with dct. With the m3 being not that quick of a car, the joy of driving it is the stand out 3rd to 2nd gear rev matched downshift with the paddle shifter.
Not convinced the manual can give you the same smile on your dial. Ps absolutely must tinker with the exhaust plus the best bang for buck mod on any car I have tinkered with is the gts dct tune for circa usd 100. But if your only in for one car I can understand being patient and waiting for a manual to pop up.

Hey who did you get to do the GTS DCT coding for the car? Could you put me in contact?

Why? Hmm. V8 vs v6 engine note. Just a view but better turbo cars for only circa 15k out their than a 1M.

Fun factor 1M wins hands down in my eyes. And will also be a better match to his Z4M unless he’s after specifically something bigger.
Mmm agree about S65 with a nice exhaust but straight 6 (not V) on 1M with an Akrapovic also very yummy!

What cars you referring to that are better and only cost 15k?

I only mentioned he should get 1M cos in one of his posts I saw he said he might consider one... haha

I like the compact size and style of the 1M but their prices are very high atm. Some have been online for what appears to be over a year. Not sure they are worth $30k over an M3. I do know they are different cars. I'm just dabbling at the moment on the thought. Have my 130i as a daily but I miss the daily m feeling. Maybe a m135i/140i is s good option. Otherwise wait for the m2 to drop some more.

I considered a 1M, but they feel a bit overpriced in my mind. They’re basically bloody good E90/E92 money or more, and I get they are far more limited edition but still not worth the dollars.

Doesn’t help they are overlapping with the prices of M2s that are 4 years and 50k+ younger.

I can see a few cars up there that I know were for sale back when I bought my E90 M3 5 months ago.

Totally agree. E90s are pretty limited

True, I spent months waiting for the right E90 (plus a few weeks bargaining with the dealer).

A lot of them don't have many options either. EDC, heated seats and a sound upgrade (either HK or Indi) were hard to find, not to mention a car without black leather (I wanted fox red, bamboo or the other white/beige colour).

They are all very different cars though, the M3, M2 and 1M.

What I can tell you is I’ve had a few M cars and all lasted less than 1 year... some even 4-5 months and the 1M is 1.5 years into it. Don’t get me wrong I loved my E92 and would again buy one for sure but the weekend toy fun factor goes to 1M for me. Plus the low end torque they make means I don’t have to rev the crap out of it on the streets to get it moving.

But either one you choose you can’t go wrong!

Circa the 300 awkw audi twin turbo audi b5 s4 with hybrid k04 turbo, rs bits. You would look at and think nothing of it and then would be just looking at its rear end

I personally don't like Audi's. Except for the B7 RS4 wagon.

For me I don't need the fastest car, just the car that excites me. My Z4MCoupe isn't the fasted, but it's makes me feel alive with adrenaline. I don't car if a car is 1 sec faster than something else or more likely 0.2 seconds. I'm never going to race my car that any of this matters.

So by “better” you meant faster. ? Audi is hardly better than any M car we are talking about especially a 1M in driving experience in my opinion. I’m sure they are quick but what makes even “slow” e46 m3 special is the driving experience if provides.

That’s the angle I was coming from. I personally suggest you drive both m3 and maybe 1M or M2.... or even M140 (friend has one and the B58 engine is a monster. Tune alone gave him 80whp extra).

Agreed, M140i is a terrific car. A friend just ordered one for himself in a package deal with an X3 30i for his wife, $60k on the road.

Cheaper brand new than a used 1M too.

I think the m140i is a great package, I can't say I love the look of them stock standard. For the price I'd probably lean more to an M2 used.

Haven't driven any so my view could rapidly change.

So you've driven a highly tweaked b5 s4 or a tweaked 5 door b5 rs4 ( definitely not 15k but)??? Better = better to drive eg brakes, suspension and 24psi with boost coming on at 1800 makes it an interesting car to drive and all analogue with awd plus a sleeper makes it a unique driving experience in the bang for bucks stakes. Driven a 1M and don't rate it that highly for a twin turbo eg nothing that special. . If you want a special driving experience grab the keys to a twin turbo analogue watercooled P car that has been messed with a bit.

Back to m3's . Anyone got a tyre puncture error message after some aggressive right foot action.
