Low beam malfunction. Water damage.
Decided to swap headlight bulbs and f’d up hard and didn’t tighten one of the screws around the cover enough apparently. I went for couple weeks no problems then a storm came and I drove for an hour or two and the next day got an adaptive headlight low beam error code. Now the passenger side bulb fails to light up. Tried swapping bulbs and didn’t work. I noticed condensation inside the headlight and when I opened the cover to swap the bulb a few drops of water had fallen out.
Not sure if maybe the ballast is the next attempt to fix or if the headlight itself is damaged and needs to be replaced. Halo’s still work fine. Any ideas? |

just replace the xenon ballast, its a $260 part. OEM is "Automotive Lighting".

Thanks guys. Decided since I have to remove the headlight I might as well kill two birds and install some dtm angel eyes from Bavgruppe while I have the bumper off. Blessing in disguise.
