Review of Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires

Still relatively new to the M3 community so forgive me if this has been posted. But in my research for tires, I found this article interesting and thorough. (It is from a few years back)

The AS3 is a great tire. I prefer the full on PSS or PS4s but it's clear that Michelin will always be the best or close to the best in pretty much any tire category

Mine came with As3s when I bought it, but were well worn and I just replaced them with new AS3. Ive had a ton of different all season tires on my cars and this is frankly the best one in terms of handling. Its not great in the snow but manageable in light snow.

Ironically this tire actually seems to handle as well as the Conti DW summer tire. Im not sure about the PSS or PS4 but is probably the best choice if you need a AS tire.

A/S 3+ is a great tire and will likely be replacing my PS4S when they wear out as their wet and cold (<60 F) performance is phenomenal. A couple of huge benefits for me is that I don't have to worry about compound damage issues when storing my car through the MN winters and I can use my M3 on the warmer winter days.

The DWS 06 is also a great tire if you want to trade off a bit of dry traction for snow traction.

Great tires for wet and cold. Summer grip comparable to PS2.
My only gripe is my rears went down to 4/32nd only after 14k miles.

I've posted this loads of times, but honestly the AS/3+ is a fantastic tire. All weather performance, nice and progressive on the limit with excellent grip. Unless your tracking or Auto-X your not giving much away by running them. I run them in winter and PS4S in summer, but if I didn't already have the PS4S I'd quite happily just leave them on there. I'd much rather run an AS/3+ than lower tier summer tires like Hanklook V12's or Dunlops.
