Definitely looks blue under direct sun and fluorescent or other bright artificial lights. I've had friends ask if it was the same car before if they saw it at night or on a cloudy day.

I like Jerez but I think I like Carbon better. I think carbon has a slightly bigger metallic flake to it. Jerez' flake is too small

Seeing some pictures of Jerez black makes me even more glad I chose this color . And makes me want to get my car detailed so I can take some pictures.

I thought I had some side by sides but I don't. It's very easy to tell them apart.

I really like the flake in Jerez and other newer BMW metallics. Makes some of the other metallics out there from other companies (check out some of the new Fords!) look like bass boats

It's unmistakably blue under fluorescents. In daylight, depends upon how much blue the car picks up from the surroundings, I think.

(Snow tire shot shows how the blue can come through.)

It's a demanding color, though. Swirls show like anything. Since getting mine (off the lot = lots of swirls) I've been just biding my time through the winter, but got myself an orbital polisher and will be taking my stab at making my baby nice and shiny in a week or two.

Agreed, just picked up E93 in this color. At 15 ft. back, the "dealer detail" looks good, but up close there are swirls and marring from the past 10 years. Gonna have to get back in the swing of polishing to dial it in to my standards. Still, no regrets on picking this color.

Excellent color but like many said here the swirls and dirt are a constant battle. Just get Space Grey and don't worry about it!

You can definitely see the purple tint under incandescent light. As mentioned, JB is awesome when it's clean, but does require attention to keep it that way. My recommendation is to apply PPF to reduce the amount of maintenance required.
