Picking up my first M3 in the morning- I'll do a more formal introduction later this week- I've been BMW-free for 7 years or so and, well, I've relapsed, so I've come here to get support for my problem.

Anyway... I'm buying this e92 with 75k miles and no service records. Yes, yes... I know what I could be getting myself into. Not my first rodeo. I can't find much information on the car and I'm hoping someone has seen it around, based on the color and the wheels. If it were Alpine White on stock wheels this would be a pointless search. The car seems to be an internet phantom. I guess not everyone is into the forum thing, so it's likely it just belonged to someone that didn't get into the forums or the M community.

Last I can tell this was turned into a Ford Dealership (I know, I can't imagine what it was traded for) in Jacksonville around September 10th, and sent to auction around the the same time. The car has had two previous owners (sold in Pompano Beach to the first owner in Ft Lauderdale, then sold with about 40k miles to the second owner in the Jacksonville area).

It's been checked out by my brother who is a master mechanic (but not a BMW specialist, nor does his shop work on German cars). The small private dealer is quite reputable in the area (deals mostly in used higher-end cars).

It appears to have been maintained well, all of the paint is original, the interior is in perfect condition, it's loaded up (EDC, DCT, Tech Package, Premium Package, Enhanced Audio, etc). Car has fresh brakes on it, I've driven it three times, to include highway. I've been searching for about six months, jumped on this one a bit quick because of the color- so I've done a ton of research on the M3, done as much research as I can in the past couple days on this particular one. This is my first M car so naturally I'm a bit nervous about ending up with a maintenance nightmare if it hasn't been maintained properly. I've already ordered the Blackstone Labs oil analysis kit.

Guess I'm trying to just find out... Does anyone know this car? Know anything about it? Hopefully your responses won't include things like "Yes, that's John's M3, he's the burnout king of Jacksonville" or "yeah that car belonged to 'Track Day Tony'" but I'd rather know, I suppose. Looking forward to any responses/insight.

Maybe it just belonged to a loner that kept to himself, haha. Just seems the odds would be good this car would have been noticed before if the owner was around.

I'll post a more detailed introduction and pictures this week. Thanks
