Sportster CS doesn’t come with rails or sliders. That’s another $500. Plus they don’t have airbags, heated seat function needs to be wired up.

The bmw one is plug and play and direct replacement for factory seats and retains all your Factory features. Not worth $8000 but definitely not comparable to plain sportsters. They should’ve made them in leather through

I've definitely seen BMW perf seats trade hands for $6k before....the fact is that if these were not reupholstered and complete they would've sold at $5-$6k regardless of how much they were worth new. They don't look THAT bad to me (coming into this thread when the asking is $4500, not 14000 makes a huge difference)... I don't think this guy is trying to scam people necessarily, but hopefully he learns his lesson that most people on these boards have been around long enough to spot shenanigans a mile away.

I’d love to have them, but coronavirus wipes out my mod budget.

I don't see any rips or tears so still a good price. The drivers bolster that everyone is talking about just needs to be tucked back in. If they were redone the oem recaro way should be an easy fix to just pop back in.

how do you explain him purposely flipping around the seats to avoid pics of the outside bolsters? If you were the seller, wouldn't you take pics of the area in question to ease the minds of a potential buyer since its been asked about?

Lastly, a member here (police officer) did go check it out in person and did confirm the seats to be in poor condition.

There has been extensive write ups also on these boards by a few members that swapped their own covers on how you can also flip the leather covers from left to right as well as the foams. They aren't perfect but I wouldn't call them poor condition. If they were mint they wouldn't be selling that low. A little elbow grease and leatherique treatment would fix these small issues.

You're missing the whole point. He's obviously not being honest with the condition and he's switching the seats around on purpose to hide the wear in pics. Its fact that a member went in person to check out the seats and he confirmed they are in poor condition. On top of that he can't even confirm the seat heating function works when he was asked. Stop making excuses for the guy. .

I've made my point. No point to switch the pics around while take pics. No point to not take pics ofcthe said area. It just seems like you're his buddy or something. Have a nice weekend.

I have these seats but not jacked up by IND. Just factory. If the stock seats weren't the worst M seats ever made, it wouldn't be worth any amount of money these have traded for. As for heat, my shop couldn't get my heat working even with a brand new wiring harness installed. Oh well.
These could be a decent project for someone to reupholster back to alcantara. But sadly, I agree that in the shape they look to be in, it would be much better to own the recaro version brand new in leather.

This is actually funny. As if a police officer can better tell the condition of seats than a non police officer. Especially with everything going on right now in the world I'd probably trust a police officer's judgement LESS than anyone else's.

Too funny. Thanks for the laughs guys.

Let's not drag all the police officers into the shit hole because of the failure few individuals. I still believe that most of them are out there to serve and protect and are honest individuals.
