08 + BMW from USA to Canada with warranty Yes? or No?

will the 08+ BMW cars have warranty when they are imported from the USA to Canada? I know for sure Porsche warranty stays with the car no matter where it is registered in North America. I am making up my mind between a 07 or 08 911 C2 or a 08 E92 M3

Thanks a lot friends!!!!!

A friend imported a 2007 335 into Canada and as far as I know the 80,000 km warranty will travel with the car to Canada. The BMW maintenance
however will not.

Thanks for the reply. I am not too worried about the free maintenance; however, I like to find out how much those regular maintenance costs will be. If you don't mind asking for me.

Thank you very much.

I think you'd be hard pressed to save worthwhile money importing an M car and giving up the maintenance.

You can check how many times will the M be service during those free maintenance period. You can make some calculations if is worth importing from US.

I service my 530 at BMW Toronto and expect to budget around $1000.00 per year in maintenance.

I was told without the free maintenance program, a single oil change from BMW dealership will cost $250 plus taxes. Anybody has any idea how much would it cost for a minor service and major service? I am expecting between $1000 and $2500. That is just my guess.
