Upgrades to Rear brakes

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking at upgrade options for my rear brakes, need new rotors. In the front I have the PFC kit which is amazing! From what I understand they no longer make a rear bbk kit from PFC nor do they sell just rotors for the rear with stock calipers.

I'm leaning towards just replacing the rear rotors with oe, vne, Zimmerman, etc. Unless there's a much more compelling option that can increase the performance in the rear. Are there any companies that make a high performance rear rotor that performs better than the OEM one for track purposes? Or would I have to mix and match bbks?

If you wanted to keep the stock rear caliper setup but run a 2 piece slotted rotor, paragon makes one in stock sizes

I've been eyeing these since I have front paragon rotors with my AP Racing BBK.

Turner sells the a rear 2 piece slotted rotor for stock calipers, however it doesn't look like the the rotor ring is sold separately so you would have to buy new rotors everytime. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-turner-m...25518tms02akt/

those are PL by ECS tuning, from the same supplier paragon gets it from.. you can catch my drift here.

Garage List
I have literally been on the same set of AP rotors on the rears that I bought when I originally got the competition brake kit from Essex 90+ track days old.

you aren't going to notice a giant leap in performance, even when going from a oem setup to a bbk in the rear. the biggest difference is going to be from proper race pads in the rear.
i upgraded to complete my set, reduce weight, and easier pad changes. the increased braking performance was just about negligible.

F80 M4 rear brakes are a decent, fairly cost effective upgrade for the rear. It will make changing rear brake pads easier too.

I think they just need a small spacer to fit but are plug and play otherwise.

You could also try a Girodisc rear rotor, I believe they make that for the E9X

I don't. I may be confused with the f8x where they do have a rear rotor.

I called Girodisk about rear rotors for E9X M3. They said they do NOT make them and never have. I forget the reason why.
