BMW Ultimate Care Oil Services for $199

Hello All,

I just happened to see this program from BMW USA. I have a 2009 E93 M3. This program is stating it is $199 for 3 years worth of oil changes? Seems like an extremely good deal. Is this so you end up at the dealership and get other services done?

Was curious about the group's thoughts and if anyone has taken advantage of this program.

Thanks.

I'm skeptical. It says this in fine print:
Plan is available for purchase once BMW vehicle has reached 54 months and has current BMW Ultimate Care Scheduled or BMW Ultimate Care+2 coverage.

I don't think you're getting this without paying for some other much more expensive plan, if it's even applicable to a 2009 car. I'd be happy to be wrong though. Also they'd probably be changing oil at 10-15,000 mile intervals as recommended by our car's computer, so also not great but I guess you could do your own change halfway.

If you want a good deal, buy your oil from FCP Euro and use their warranty to send old oil back. I'll be doing that in a month or two for my first "free" oil change through them.

Purchased it

I decided to purchase this from my local dealership at BMW Springfield for my 2009 e93. I am currently at 31,800 miles and I’ll probably put less than 1,000 miles a year. Seems like a no brainer.

old thread, but +1

I purchased this $199 Unlimited plan today at my local BMW dealer for my e93 M3. Agree, no brainer.

I only drive 3,000 miles a year and always change the oil before I put the car in winter storage.

Dealer told me that when not a CBS (mileage based) oil replacement interval, as long as you wait 365 days from the last oil change, CBS mileage is not required and they'll change it! So I'll get oil changes for the next 3 years for the price of 1. If you drive more than the CBS interval per year, you'll save more!

I got this too, it’s great. Hopefully they will honor the 1 year change as my car is showing 15k mile CBS.

This is also really tempting...I hope they have this same service here in Germany. Would actually be cheap if I bought it for both my E90 and E92. The BMW 10w60 oil has gone up drastically here (used to be able to buy 1L at 9-10 Euros per bottle) now its up to 20 Euros or so.

I just got this deal too. When the service advisor told me about it, I was like are you sure? That price alone would be with it to me for just 1 oil change. I don't put many miles on it so he confirmed that I can get my yearly changes till 2025.

Wow. Thought I had low miles. I'm at 47000.

Just did my oil change at a local BMW indy place for what I thought was a good deal $105. Looks like I will be going with this plan as long as they use bmw oil and not some off brand to save cost

For anyone wonder, they did honor the 1 year low mileage oil change. Car had done 3k miles in one year and wasn’t showing oil due until next year. I took it in and told them I want to do the annual low mileage recommended by BMW. After a little battle they took the car in and changed the oil.

I got this plan for my 328d - more than pays for itself. I have a bunch of 10w60 I need to use so refrained from signing up my e92. Not to mention it's not my dd so it doesn't rack up many miles

Where is this Indy place?

My go-to Indy shop here in the Bay Area (well known in the forums) quoted me $275 for an oil change.

Took a look at the BMW Ulitmate Oil service plan and I think it’s at $225 now. I thought I was done with the stealership but might have to come back for the deal.

I don’t know if this was a real offer but my local dealership, which is brand new in the area, offered to do my oil change for $145. But the service dept isn’t open on the weekends and I travel during the work week. That’s about what I paid for a service kit from FCP. But I guess now that I have bought in, I’m just paying for shipping back to FCP. I might take them up on the offer just to build a relationship with them and the parts counter; they agreed to honor the BMWCCA discount.

Regarding FCP, are you sure oil change kits qualify under their lifetime replacement guarantee?

From their site: “Unacceptable returns, One-time use items: Consumable items intended for single use are ineligible for warranty or LRG returns. Examples include additives, cleaners, shop supplies, etc.”
