Alright last pictures, until I get the new Aero and Air Cup kit in.
I really like this one shot I took yesterday, I took the car to a local car show this past weekend and it got so much attention compared to some other all out builds that were there, I love that people actually like and can tell the difference between a unique build and cookie cutter slap on bolt ons builds.. Got the Recaro seats in and the Air cup kit in!
I am thinking of having the car enter the Stance Wars show in Vegas in April. if I can get everything dialed in. Taking it back to the shop for some small corrections and to repair cracked paint on the edge of the rear fender tonight. Also, I am super excited because I get to install the new 9" lips in the rear!! its going to look so sick!. 14 inch rears on 305's.

I have been in communication with AA and they said they can do a tune for E85 for me, I would have to use larger injectors and I would have to get some dyno time and be in touch with them to be able to make adjustments to the tune.
I currently have the Stage 2 at home(NOT INSTALLED), Also in talks with them they highly recommended getting bearings done before doing E85 tune, which is another $2500-$3k So I am going to have a delay, now I feel its smarter to install stage 2 as then do bearings, next, then when I have the funds for the rest Ill do the E85 tune and possibly the Stage 3 upgrade. On top of all My Recaro seats arrived and I cant install them unless I add a roll bar, lol!!! So before I do any of the above I need a custom roll cage/roll bar that doesn't look like utter shit with the top down. I am thinking something like a half cage but instead of being square on top it would have hoops like the Z4/Miata/roadsters do I would hate to ruin the look of this baby:

That's clean, I wanna have it drop back down like hoops over the seat backs, and then brace into the back seats like a regular cage so its actually strong.

The only downside is it's tight (snug), as it should be, so there's little room for adjusting (like reaching into your back pocket for your drivers license ) and although it works well cosmetically the back seating area is not the best. Hence a harness bar of some sort. Here's a few other possibilities; . |

Current issues:
Widened the rims from 12.5 wide to 14.5" wide by adding a larger 9" outer lip. the problem was figuring out the tire size with the perfect stretch, I had ordered Vredestein 305/30/19, and they didn't fit.(waste of money/lol they are up for sale right now)$400 takes em. So the next size up is 315/30 and there are only 2 brands for street tires in that size Michilin pilot sport cup2/Dunlop sportmaxx, so I ordered a set of each, because some tires run wider than others. I tried the Michilins since they were from Tire rack and they fit nicely. The Dunlop's took 3 weeks to arrive since they came from France/ weird.lol heres the widened rim(looks like its freaking 16" wide lol) [IMG][/IMG] Tires: ( I got a sick deal on these, everywhere I looked they were $500+ and Tire rack happened to have them for $375 and gave me a military veteran discount for $350 each!! Fit perfect! The bad news: I was running a bit of poke and planned on taking it straight to camber the wheels in so it would tuck rim as to not mess up the fender, but on the super careful drive home, the only driveway I entered, the rim hit the fender and bent the fender edge and cracked the paint, now I need to take it to be repainted for the 2nd time(same fender/this had happened the first day I got it out of the shop, and it cost me $600 to re-paint) Anyways, I have the car at WC Motoring, this shop has been the best with wheel/tire mounting and other related services, everyone there is super car knowledgeable and know their stuff and they are super careful with the wheels, which I cant say about other shops. They are installing the front air cup kit as we speak and I had them add the negative camber before I get it repainted. I should be picking the car up again today at 3:30pm. Ordered the Mach Schnell floor mounts, they should be arriving any time this week, and Ill have them install the new custom Recaro sportster seats! Last edited by GabeS; 03-23-2017 at 02:29 PM.. |

I wouldn't recommend doing the same route I did, because it was a ridiculous amount of work and cost $9-$10k in labor and another $5-$7k in parts.
