BE ARP Bolts BE-CRB50-S65 - socket size?
Hi,
I bought BE ARP bolts and BE Bearings for doing rod bearing job on my S65. I read that BE ARP bolts BE-CRB50-S65 socket size on the head of the bolt is imperial 3/8 socket so i've ordered the socket in 3/8 12 points (I'm from France we use metric sockets here) When the socket has arrived it seems that it's a little bit little for the head of the bolts... I've tried the others sockets i have and it seems to be metric 11mm 12 points Can you confirm the socket size you have used for this bolts? Are they metric or imperial size? On some youtube videos the guys says that it could be have two size of sockets for these bolts 3/8 12 points or 11mm 12 points Thanks for yours advices Last edited by --Aramis--; 02-28-2023 at 01:36 PM.. |

I just did this a couple months ago with the BE kit, and I am fairly certain that I used a 7/16" 12 point socket for BE ARP Bolts.

Thanks!
You're right 7/16" is 11,1125mm I have some quality sockets in 11mm and they are very tight on the BE bolt head whereas KStools impact socket 11mm is near perfect. I'll order 7/16 socket |

Authentic BE-ARP bolts will use an 11mm 12-point socket. You can tell if the bolts are authentic BE-ARP by the stamp on the head. If the stamp is "BE" or "BE Sx5" then they are authentic BE-ARP bolts. Anything else stamped on the head for the last 2.5 years, and they are NOT authentic BE-ARP bolts.
The cut-down Chevrolet bolts (non-authentic BE-ARP bolts) will use a 7/16" 12-point. |

I revise my position after a few tightenings, the 11mm socket works like a charm
So brand new the 7/16 -11,1mm is good, after 11mm is good My amateur advice is to have the two sockets and use the one with minimal play which works the best i talk about quality socket like stahlwille/facom/snap on other mid or low quality sockets have more play |
