Prolly best to not do that again... (not sure if the attached image shows up - highlights the 37K mile spark plug change interval recommendation from BMW)
Car run better now?

I purchased the car a month ago w/ 132k miles. I have all the service records from the previous 3 owners, and the last time they were done was around 80k miles ago. I’m going through and replacing various wear parts while I wait for my Rod bearing kit (the BE spec’d Rod bolts are on back order). Might do the rear diff fluid this weekend while I continue to wait.

I had only put about 200 miles on the car before I changed the plugs. No misfires or codes thrown. I didn't get enough seat time in this car to notice a difference in how it ran as I've been taking it easy until I can get the Rod Bearings done. The only reason why I changed them is because I could see from the service records that it has been a long time and I know these cars like to have new plugs. Glad I did, I've never had plugs look this bad.

Just found this post exactly what I needed to see. Mine has 87k miles supposing never been replaced.. do you have OEM part number by chance? How difficult of a job was it 1-10? I’ve got all the tools besides the coil pack removal tool.

Also, I saw a lot of DIYs that have you take off the plenum which isn't necessary. |

Just the intake elbow (+airbox for better clearance). I used a coat hanger and had it done in 45 mins. |
